Hello, GrampaSwood!
Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- You can use the button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
- If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
- When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User GrampaSwood to the file's name.
- Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:GrampaSwood/ to the page title when you create the page.
Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!

Hello, if you could translate this article to Dutch (updated) I think it would be really awesome because it's one that I worked on a lot and I am interested in your language. :)-- Akolyth (talk) 19:00, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

Hey, although I'm glad to see people translating wiki pages into Dutch, you really should pay more attention to basic grammar - you're getting basic verbs wrong in some of your translations. Sleepybird (talk) 04:43, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
Grammatica
GrampaSwood (talk) 18:05, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

Trivia revert
First of all, if you don't think it's trivia, fine, but that doesn't mean you should just remove my contribution, second, no it's not mentioned already on the page, Will Sagerman's name is nowhere to be found on the page, he is the creator of the viewmodel and should be credited for it — The preceding unsigned comment was added by TheKopakah (talk) • (contribs) 17:26 CEST
- It's not that I don't think it's Trivia, it really isn't trivia. His name is mentioned in the infobox in the "contributed by" section. Please do not revert the edit again as it has been reverted before and might lead to punishment by :the staff.
- Also please respond on your own user page next time (it's how the discussion can be followed by outsiders) and sign your comments using ~~~~

- I'm not Swedish myself, so I can't tell you. However, Steam has its own translation program called Steam Translation Server. There are 2 moderators for Swedish on there, Orange and Neargineer. You could add one of them and ask if they can review some of your translations.

Changes redo
I would like you to redo my changes on Template:Building Specifications, you told to provide a source, the source is myself, I have discovered it. I have a recording of me doing the test. BezaoBuilder (talk) 23:25, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
- Redo the edit and provide a source other than "I did it". Preferably a recording.
GrampaSwood (talk) 06:57, 8 August 2019 (UTC)- Ok, where should I send the recording?BezaoBuilder (talk) 16:35, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oh, the recording is here BezaoBuilder (talk) 16:40, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
- If you could edit it to include a timer showing how 1 swing decreases it by 1,5 second, 2 swings would decrease it by 2 seconds, and 3 swings would decrease it by 3 seconds. You could also show how the first hit decrease. My adobe premiere shows it off as a having 61 frames per second, but 1,25 seconds being equal to 1 second for some reason. Preferably side by side, starting on the frame you place down the Sentry and ending on the frame the HUD icon changes. If you can't do this, or if someone else can't do it, you will have to wait until next week so I can do it myself.
GrampaSwood (talk) 17:39, 8 August 2019 (UTC) - This video was never intended to be published or easy for people to understand. This was simply made because I did not want to create a labyrinth of custom hammer-made maps, scripts, and screen recorders, I mean, I do not know if there is a "trigger_engineer_building" in hammer BezaoBuilder (talk) 16:17, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
- All you just need to do is add some timers to it, it's not that much work. Otherwise, I can't confirm it.
GrampaSwood (talk) 16:24, 16 August 2019 (UTC)- But my Openshot does not have timers BezaoBuilder (talk) 17:45, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
- Done! Here is the video: I made some corrections, which can be seen by skipping to 1:35 and 1:40. The link is here BezaoBuilder (talk) 18:22, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Meet the Robinsons speculation
Hi, GrampaSwood.
I added a note about speculations about the Shutterbug being a reference to Meet the Robinsons to the Trivia section because three different people have done it four times already. Considering the article is barely over one month old, I thought that was enough times to warrant a note, like how the Hound Dog has a Trivia note saying "Let readers make their own connection between the yellow painted Hound Dog and Johnny Bravo", and decided to add the Observer to the note as well because I saw that as a potential item for people to add multiple times too.
Cheers. =) - BrazilianNut (talk) 23:23, 10 September 2019 (UTC)
- I only saw it being added once, and I usually see all/most edits on the English part of the wiki (I check the RC every morning until the last edit I saw in IRC's RC then sort on English only to make sure). I did not see other edits, so I missed them. I undid it now, but put the note at the bottom so people who are tempted to add it read it first as opposed to at the top/next to == Trivia ==

Soul Gargoyle Rank
Hey there GrampaSwood! First of all congratulations for the hat! You deserved it! Second of all I need your help, again. Do you know how to translate the Gargoyle Ranks in this page https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Soul_Gargoyle/it ? It looks like some sort of dictionary template, but before doing something stupid I'd prefer to ask.
Thanks buddeh. D-ray (talk) 09:55, 2 November 2019 (UTC)
- Ciao amigo :D
- You can add them in Dictionary/items, just search for "===[[Soul Gargoyle]] ranks ===" and add them as other languages did.
- Hi there,
as Dereko mentioned, you should edit it in the dictionary itself here.
However, you can find out where to do it yourself in the future too: Edit the Soul Gargoyle page, scroll down the page (not the page's text) and you might see something like this or this. These are the templates used on the page, here you will just have to find the template's name (In this case, Soul Gargoyle Ranks and click on it using your mouse's scrollwheel (This opens it in another tab). Now, click on edit and scroll down again, you should now see there's the whole list of dictionary entries (DO NOT EDIT THESE INDIVIDUAL PAGES). This means it's done via the dictionary, otherwise it's done via the template itself with translation switching. (Alternatively, you can look at the template itself and see it uses {{item name|Sad}})

I would like to request the sound effect for the Pomson 6000 drain sound effect. I think it will be useful because it will help readers hear the distinct "drain" sound of the Pomson 6000. Trivia removal
I think your removal of my trivia was unjustified, since it had evidence to corroborate it. There was a a splash of speculation but look at this image, then look at Illustrative Rendering in Team Fortress 2's silhouette section. It's some evidence that the Scout was using the SMG model as a Nailgun placeholder. Mind you both Trailers 1 and 2 were made in SFM (then called IFM by VALVe), but it's something. I hope I can convince you with this evidence.
Please forgive my poor formatting, as I'm new to the TF2 Wiki. All I want to do is help, but sometimes, even I need help.
Sandvich Thief (talk) 07:48, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
- This doesn't mean that the SMG was the world model for the Nail gun. We don't get to see Scout's first person perspective in the first trailer, so there is no way to know that it's a placeholder (world)model. The most likely thing is that it's most likely just a whole different weapon that was later given to the Sniper. Unless there's some source directly from valve specifically stating that the SMG was a placeholder model (I don't think you'd put it in a trailer if it was a placeholder), it's speculation. Spy lost his tranquilizer gun too, but it isn't necessarily a placeholder for his Revolver. (Nail gun might've been moved to Medic as well, but with a different model).
- I fixed your formatting btw, if you want a file to be linked add a ":" in front of the link, like this [[:File:filename]]
GrampaSwood (talk) 12:23, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
- First off, thanks for reformatting my poor writing.
- Now, I understand what you're saying about the Nailgun, and I get that, but you also forget Medic had the SMG, as in Concept art, the SMG was labelled as his. Not to ::mention, in early builds of TF2, the Syringe Gun's script used the localisation tag "TF_Weapon_SuperSMG". Another thing, the Tranq was never a Revolver replacement. The ::leaked coded corroborates this as it has seperate (albeit useless code) relating to it. Instead of a revolver, Spy was presumably meant to have a silenced pistol. Think ::about it, his ragdollspawn sequence has him almost perfectly hold the Pistol's model. Not only that, Spy also has sequences related to Primary weapons. The Revolver is a ::secondary. Take all this evidence as you will. Sandvich Thief (talk) 11:05, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
- First off, thanks for reformatting my poor writing.
- The concept art bit doesn't matter, it's unrelated to this. The tranq thing was just an example, just because it got replaced doesn't mean it was a placeholder. I still don't see enough evidence, all I see is that Scout once had an SMG and then it was switched to the Nail gun.

Chemistry Set demonstration
Hello there.
I've seen that you've reserved video demonstration for Chemistry Set. If you're still interested in making it, I can provide Foppish Physician Strangifier Chem Set and all required items including strange for input. For free, just send me completed item back when you've done.
What do you think?

Cap your item limit
"Literally no one says "cap" when talking about the max drop system items."
FWIW, the tfwiki literally says 'weekly item cap'. (Here too, as tagged by the blog.)
Literally, Valve said 'cap' when talking about the max drop system items, although possibly in response to the Community usage.
- 5: to prevent from growing or spreading : set an upper limit on : cap toilet paper prices
google team fortress 2 "item cap"
.
Admittedly, the usage fell off after 2015; but, maybe not.
Try
- The 'weekly item cap' or other time limit of item obtained from the item drop system.

- We've already had a talk about this in the IRC channel, my reasoning was that "cap" could mean any max (Maximum amount of medals you can distribute, maximum items you can have in your inventory) and I have personally never seen it used. Lagg was the one who argued for keeping it and because he has been in the community longer he has seen it used longer. So, if you want to undo it, it's fine by me. I just haven't seen it used personally so it didn't make sense to me.
GrampaSwood (talk) 09:28, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
- Various players/editors are exposed to different subcultures of the game, so personal experience is not the only rubric to apply. Thus, glossaries and disambies can serve both novice and expert players (you proved the latter). "Cap" in this sense seemed to come from the Community and Valve picked it up. If cap was much used in this drop limit sense unadorned with the words "daily", "weekly", and "item", it is impractical to verify. It may not matter any more, but we haven't made a practice of removing obsolete terms from glossaries and disambies as they are found still to be found in searches of discussion archives. It is a (more or less) key game mechanic and is adequately covered in the Idling page. Certainly, much less relevant terms can be found living long, happy lives hidden in disambies. If added back it should be in the form I suggested above. M I K A D O 282 ⊙⊙⊙⊙⊙⊙ ⊙⊙ ⊙⊙ (talk) (Help Wanted!) 01:59, 18 March 2020 (UTC)

"Linked already"
Hi, Swood.
I saw you reverted some edits on the articles for the Bozo's Brogues, Bountiful Bow, and Candyman's Cap with the reason "Linked already". However, what about articles of items that are variants of other items, like robotic and zombie versions, which both mention "it is a X version of Y" in the desctipion and have a link to the original item in See also?
Just a little food for thought.
Cheers. - BrazilianNut (talk) 12:11, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
- I personally haven't seen those yet, I know there has been a conversation on what should and shouldn't be in the See also section. I personally thought it didn't fit, and if it does fit, someone like you would've probably undone the edit with a proper reasoning. Feel free to undo it if it should be there. I would remove the See also links for those items if it's mentioned in the article already.

Fat man's Field Cap identification
I'm failing to understand your logic, why are historical facts not enough? the hat itself is literally introduced in 1988, as you can see in official soviet rulebook for military personnel to properly wear uniforms;
1969 version; http://www.vedomstva-uniforma.ru/forma1969/1969.html
1973 version; http://www.vedomstva-uniforma.ru/forma1973/1973.html
1988 version; http://www.vedomstva-uniforma.ru/forma1988/1988.html
M69 was never referred as 'Afghanka', and there was no field cap for that uniform, only a sidecap. even if Svdl says it's based on obr69 or obr73, it's him who's misinformed. though i doubt it since he named his item set 'Air Defense', referencing it's indeed based on VDV paratroopers from Soviet-Afghan War period. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by SovietTriumph (talk) • (contribs) 05:55 CEST, 2 April 2020
- First of all, sign your comments using ~~~~. Second of all, it's still speculation because even if it looks like it's based off of something it might not be. This is simply how it works for everything. A source from the maker is enough to prove it.
GrampaSwood (talk) 08:21, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
- Speculation means there's other possibilities. that hat ingame IS 100% identical to obr88 hat, every stiches and details match. i know some hats with irl counterparts went some major changes to fit into TF2's artstyle, but this isn't one of it. its design is unique, there is no copy of this hat made by another country. i can't see why you're needing item maker's confirmation when everything is so clear.
- SovietTriumph (talk) 18:05, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
- Because the creator may draw the concept from scratch and somehow it's similar to it. Confirmation from the creator is the thing to prove that he did that based on somethings else or not. Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 01:47, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
- "If an item can be cited, however, it should be" You will find me more generous on the subject. Yes, it is possible to draw a random hat and have it closely match a historic icon, but not reasonably possible. Also, yes, an email from the modeler would be appropriate if posible, as the guide says. But what if the modeler is mistaken. Suppose, I am speculating here, the modeler is mistaken in good faith claiming that their model is '69 version and Valve accepted it on that basis, when in fact the model is '88 and therefore out of period for the game. (In that situation, there is both factuality and notability in the Trivia.)
- If there is something that can bring a modicum of virtue to a game wiki, it is raising attention to histroy represented by the items we play with. Here I have been prompted to know there is such a thing as the VDV, I would much rather have a link in either the Lead or the Trivia to the history of the specific model, because my search only finds today's uniform. It would seem strange that Valve would approve it if it was not a 1970s or earlier historic artifact. Part of the maker's business model of the model is that it is a historical reference. Knowledgable members of the community have recognized it as VDV as a purchase point. Unknowning members are edified by the OP's contribution.
- How do we know the fairy wings are in reference to that Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna!?!? There were at least two different Grand Duchesses of that name at that time! How could this happen! Oh, this is bad. We must get a letter from Valve!

- @GrampaSwood: Soviet Airborne Divisions naturally deployed with antiaircraft units (with the very model that Heavy carries in the Workshop), just as US airborne divisions deployed with anti-aircraft battalions. M I K A D O 282 ⊙⊙⊙⊙⊙⊙ ⊙⊙ ⊙⊙ (talk) (Help Wanted!) 05:40, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
- @SovietTriuph: The fundamental issue with the reversion has nothing to do with whether you are correct about the model. There is a standard applied here that we don't see a reference to reasonable evidence that the modeler had any particular hat in mind, whether it is '69 or '88, airborne or coastguard is immaterial to that concern. Personally, rather than reversion, I prefer more thorough citation. M I K A D O 282 ⊙⊙⊙⊙⊙⊙ ⊙⊙ ⊙⊙ (talk) (Help Wanted!) 05:43, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
- I think newly added trivia should always be sourced, regardless of how obvious it may seem (One example is the Titanic reference you, Mikado, saw on Cursed Cove which turned out to not be a Titanic reference). This should be the standard, otherwise it is speculation because there is no source on it.

User:GrampaSwood: “(One example is the Titanic reference you, Mikado, saw on Cursed Cove …)”
I recall a conversation, wherein I defended the Trivia, but I did not post the Trivia.
- BrazilianNut added the skeleton Ttrivia here.
- GrampaSwood removed the skeleton Trivia here.
- Above, GrampaSwood provided a clip of a single chat message from the Cursed Cove contributor EmNudge, to wit, “there is a mistake on the cursed cove wiki, the first Trivia fact is incorrect … clever, but incorrect”
I have some recollection of more of a conversation, but I cannot find it. IIRC, my argument was that the positioning of the skeletons was curious at best, but definitely suggestive of something, if not the scene in Titanic (but yes, it could be something else). Attributed to EmNudge was that those skeletons were nothing more than an accidental residue of some mechanic intended for the map, but was completely removed for causing too many game running problems, except for those skeletons just lying there, meaning absolutely nothing.
As for documentation of references and/or bases of items, I have had many thoughts over the days.
I acknowledge that Trivia stating that the creator had a specific model risks some decree of speculation. I get that it is preferred/acceptable to have a statement from the creator, say an email or Workshop statement. However,
- generally, what is said in the Workshop is erzat for the wiki, isn’t it?
- an email? that’s not an official Valve publication.
- and it is potentially possible, if rare, for the creator to be mistaken about the identification of the basis for their model.
I tend to favor placing identification of the basis in the lead, where it is acceptable to place obvious descriptions, like "a hat shaped like a large yellow banana" for the Potassium Bonnett, but the only "proof" we have of that (that it is indeed supposed to be a large yellow banana, since our eyes can be fooled and our memories mistaken) is statements in the Workshop, which, ironically, are generally discounted in other cases. We say, '"Mannanas" is a portmanteau of "Mann" and "bananas"'. Is that not at least a small sliver of speculation? On the brand emblem, the name is in two words "Mann" and "Nanas"; and nanas is a Malay word for pineapple. Surely, Valve meant bananas, not pineapple, right? That can’t possibly be speculation? Then, why is there a pineapple in Poopy Joe’s bugle!?!?
As to the identity of the Fat Man’s Field Cap:
- It has some resemblance to one type of WWII Soviet field cap
- Maybe a USSR Soviet Army Afghan Hat?
- Maybe this Afganka, Soviet Cap, Russian M69?
- The set was excitedly popular with many users that recognized the specific models (or maybe assumed they did)
Maybe real expert is needed to properly identify the cap. All of that said, I really think that the Lead should at the very least say "Soviet-era military field cap". M I K A D O 282 ⊙⊙⊙⊙⊙⊙ ⊙⊙ ⊙⊙ (talk) (Help Wanted!) 21:52, 12 April 2020 (UTC)

Bot Support on Maps
I would respectfully disagree with your removal of the note about bot and Navmesh support from Hassle Castle and Moldergrove. While players can make their own navmesh, that requires sv_cheats 1
, whereas maps which include support do not require cheats, and therefore support achievements and statistics gathering. With Valve's refusal to deal with casual mode bots, myself and many other players have turned to private servers to play uninterrupted with friends, and need bots to fill out a team. When only three of the four Scream Fortress maps support bots, I feel it is worth distinguishing which. Sgtketchup (talk) 21:33, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- In that case, users can visit Bots, which I saw you edited, as it makes much more sense for users to visit a list of maps that have bot support rather than visit every map page to see if it supports bots or not. Apart from this, it's not super notable either (Especially if it will only benefit a select few people playing with bots).
GrampaSwood (talk) 21:56, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- The main map infobox already has a field for bot support, so more than a "few people" found it notable. I would like to repeat the edits using the infobox template. Users seeking information on a particular map should not need to visit an unlinked page to find that information, and it is at least as notable as a list of Underworld Hazards. Sgtketchup (talk) 01:17, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- I'm fine with having it in the infobox, didn't know it had that.

The Buffalo Steak Sandvich
Hello there. My recent edit pertaining to the removal of the stack-up of the GRU's speed increase and the Steak Sandvich's was erased, even though the information is correct. The removal of stacking the two items has been removed from the game since the | December 22, 2010 patch at the earliest, as noted by the patch notes. Although it is possible that the patch in question has since been reverted accidentally, it is not reflected in patch notes, or in-game as noted in this YouTube demonstration I have created. Is there any reason as to why it was deleted?
Regards, CaptainKodachrome (talk) 00:31, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
- The patch notes are incorrect, there are 2 videos at the bottom of the page which shows that the speed is 310.50 HU/s with Steak + GRU, while only GRU is 299 HU/s. This speed difference is incredibly small, but a speed difference nonetheless. Even in your own video (Low quality pic, sorry) it shows that the GRU reaches the end before the Fists.

- Hi. Of course you can contribuite to the Wiki. You may see the translation progress page of your language (that i guess is french). Also, remember to read the guidelines
And not exactly, you should translate the page directly from the english page, but you can vary in some points, like trivia or some specific words. Greetings · Ashe (talk) 15:28, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

Reload speed issue
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXrFHgTu_kc&feature=youtu.be
Stuff in the description. I do believe this is working as designed, only that TF2 devs frequently mistake what +X% faster means for action times, it's present in virtually all blue text on weapons like the force a nature's "+50%" firing speed meaning that it fires twice as fast. --Manta (talk) 14:26, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- This doesn't really show off the exact timings, please add timers to the video showing the exact timings.
GrampaSwood (talk) 14:27, 19 January 2021 (UTC)- No need, just look at the Force-a-nature and the scattergun pages, these are verified numbers right? The attack interval on the FaN is exactly half of the scattergun. Meaning that +50% firing speed actually means in that instance that it really -50% attack interval (Or +100% true firing speed). Do the same maths for the pocket pistol, family business, scottish resistance you'll see that they consistently get this wrong. Now actually read the video's description for the rest of the maths. If you're going to make me do all the work, at least read what I'm writing. --Manta (talk) 14:36, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- If i'm not wrong, it's just a typo problem. It should say "+25% reload speed" instead of "+20% reload speed".

- If this happens with every weapon, it's not worth noting.

- If Upgrades work differently than stated in the Station, it should be noted somewhere, at least systematically, maybe in a Strategy.

- If the upgrades work differently in the way that every single weapon stat works differently than stated, it's nothing out of the ordinary (But might be interesting to add it to Notes on Weapons or the attributes list). If an upgrade doesn't work at all, that's a bug to be noted. (Such as 1st Tomislav firing speed, 2nd Minigun firing speed, 3rd Sentry firing speed, Flame Thrower burn time).

Semi-tame Trapper's Hat, Glow from Below, Mascot definition, and Elizabeth the Third
Hi, This is the guy who was editing 'mascot'. Thanks for stepping in, I'm new and generally have no clue what I'm doing.
One thing that seems confusing is that hats which give the player an assist in pyroland seem to not be included under the mascot page. Glow from Below, for instance, should be excluded. The thing that also is confusing is that Semi-tame Trapper's Hat is on there, I took it off. If that was the wrong call, I'll undo my edit. And also Elizabeth the Third (which is a mascot) has no pyroland demonstration video. I don't know who to contact about it. Thanks.
Dsquarehead01 (talk) 15:31, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hats listed there have the mascot item kind, the semi-tame trapper's hat is also a mascot. No need to contact anyone, as it's on the demonstration page already.

Mr.Sandman, bring me a crit
I continued to create an edit about the Sandman having a first instant Crit ball, upon further observation, i was wrong. I formerly apologias as I intend to bring new knowledge to the tf2 community. I hope I can learn from this experience and do better. Your's truly, Nerd Sauce (talk) 17:31, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
How do I copy the tab;e?
How do I copy the speed table from the english soldier page to the dutch soldier page?? Thanks, Sjobenrit (talk) 19:52, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
- Should be automatically translated, just copy what's on the English page by going to edit and then the speed section.

It's me, your uncle.
Hey, Uncle Buttmunch here. I've noticed you've been hounding me for quite a bit on the bugs I've been putting on some pages, and I just wanted to talk to you about it. First of all: What sources am I expected to put up, and how? I've noticed that most other bugs listed have no sourcing at all, and every bug that I'VE been putting up are ones that I've seen and experienced firsthand. So, what (and how) do I have to really source?
Second of all: Sorry if I've been putting everything back up once it was taken down. I'm very new to wiki editing, and I never knew about the style guides.
But yea, since I listed all the things that need to be done to view the bugs, you can feel free to try them out on your own time. Just a quick note, though: The Taunt Lock bug on round end I discovered when I WON on 2fort as Scout, and I did the Mannrobics for the end taunt. I also got the same thing to happen with Sniper and Spy, same map and taunt.
Thanks, dude. If I need to make a video to source these bugs, so be it. Just let me know what's expected of me.
Until then, I'll be waiting. Thanks. Uncle Buttmunch (talk) 21:18, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hello Uncle,
- For all new bugs added, a source is required to be added. It is too much work for wiki editors to have to test every new bug added, and is simply not the responsibility of them to verify. I get that you've seen them, but this is not sufficient proof. A good way to add a source is to add a video or an image in the summary. These bugs have largely been added before this whole check thing became regular. It's too big of an undertaking to review every single bug on every single page to look for outdated bugs.
- And don't worry, making mistakes is completely okay and please don't see this as hostile in any way, it's not meant to be.

Source?
Hey just wanted to ask I saw you undid my edit for the killstreak bug section and asked for a source. Would that mean I would have to provide a video of the interaction happening? Please take the time to respond when you can :D Legit Weaboo (talk) 02:57, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, you need to provide a source. Not uploading it to the page, just showing it in a youtube or reddit video/image and providing the link in the edit summary · Ashe (talk) 03:20, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

Undo Editing Trivia
Hello GrampaSwood I have a question on why my edit for trivia on the Rocket Jumper was removed and what I can do to make it ok?Xleafx2 (talk) 01:32, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- Nothing, really. It's trivia about something community servers have as custom content, or how the community perceives the weapon. Neither of these are suitable trivia.

Categories
Quick question, how do I add items to a Category? Calcium fiend (talk) 13:09, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
- Never mind, I figured it out. Calcium fiend (talk) 13:32, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
Regarding an undo edit
Hi, so uh you've undone my recent edit on the "Your Worst Nightmare" Bug section. Could you please elaborate more on how I need to add proof?
I've never seen any item provide proof to a bug on the wiki. (For example the "Antarctic Eyewear" does not provide proof to the bug.)
Thanks.
EgregiouslyWhite (talk) 20:53, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- Something such as a video or image (whichever one is appropriate) showing off the bug in the summary, a link to imgur or youtube, for example. The reason this isn't on old bugs is because this is a relatively new policy and going through all the old bugs and checking for them/removing them based on no evidence is too much of a hassle.
GrampaSwood (talk) 21:02, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
Oh I see. Thank you for elaborating. I'll be sure to add some proof later.

Regarding the Valve open time
I suppose that there should be a note displayed like: All times are UTC-5:00 (Eastern Standard Time, EST), but I'm not pretty sure how exactly Valve is working. So I'm here to notice. Balkan Red Bandit (talk) 14:37, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if the opening times are relevant at all, as it's about Valve as a company.
