I built that.
The Engineer

When you join a server with a custom map running, the game will automatically download the map file and place it in the correct directory.

If you download the map separately from a website, place the map file (has the extension .BSP) into the following directory:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\[your Steam username here]\team fortress 2\tf\maps

The exact address may vary based on your operating system and the directory of your Steam installation. If you are running a dedicated server, you need to place the BZ2 file onto your sv_downloadurl. If the creator did not include a BZ2 file, you will have to create one yourself.
