Is it 100% sure it's for Egnineer? I thought it was for Sniper at first :( Benvil 20:55, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yes it is. And yes, looks like the Sniper didn't get anything for this new update... at least for now. DSylom 21:08, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
Paintable
I changed Paintable to yes, because the creator said he wants it to be a paintable item in a Polycount thread. I can post link if evidence is needed. Corkscrew 19:58, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- Maybe he does but Valve can change the item as they see fit. We won't know if it's paintable for sure until it's in-game or in the store. —Moussekateer·talk 20:01, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- Darn Valve.... Corkscrew 20:26, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
Harry Potter reference?
Just sayin', this looks A LOT like the fake, magical eye of Alastor "mad-eye" Moody.--Kid Of The Century 21:27, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- Unless the creator turns around to says 'Yeah I based it off Mad-Eye Moody's magical eye', it is just speculation and has no place here.--Focusknock 21:29, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- Don't worry, I wasn't going to start the Trivia section. :) Besides, the original doesn't look like that. --Kid Of The Century 21:43, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- That isn't actually the original, that was the finished product. Valve implemented the original, which the maker later changed into the version you posted. Hefaistus 21:51, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- It's even called "Engineer's Mad Eye", that's clearly a reference. Soldyhurr 23:41, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- I agree that it's a Harry Potter reference. Just a Gigolo 15:15, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- Better ask it directly to the creator, and set this once and for all.--Kid Of The Century 20:28, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

- Actually i heard it said "Mad Science" not mad eye. THE3STOOGES 00:42, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
If you wear an orange Big Country and the Googly Gazer at the same time, well, you see where I'm going with this. Just_a_Gigolo - (talk) 07:35, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
Picture
So it might just be me, but the picture used of the Engineer with the eye looks a bit too skinny. Has anyone else noticed this? If other people feel the same way that I do, we should address this issue and fix it. Fate Soul Blake 12:29, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- Well, File:Engineer_googly_gazer.png a new version was already implemented, but it doesn't seem like it's working for now. – Epic Eric (T | C) 20:30, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
Clipping
Will this clip with my Voodoo Juju, because I think im one of the few who will choose this over the teddy.--Waffleman 02:23, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
- It clips with the Voodoo Juju, I've tested it. – Cructo [T][C] 17:46, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure it clips with the glasses in Professor's Peculiarity too. CidTheNinja 07:26, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
- I have have it now, and by looking at my engineer, it dose not look like it clips with the Professor's Peculairity.--Waffleman 07:35, 7 August 2011 (PDT)
- I'm pretty sure it clips with the glasses in Professor's Peculiarity too. CidTheNinja 07:26, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
New Quote
Hi everyone. I just wanted to bring to you attention that this quote being used is the same one for the Industrial Festivizer. We need to change either this quote or the quote on that page so the Wiki doesn't keep using the same quotes over and over. I'm not sure which one should be changed more. I'm leaning more towards the one on this page, but I just haven't been able to find another one to use. "Not fast enough; not by a damn sight." or "Y'all gotta run a lot faster than that." might work better for this one. Tell me what you think. Fate Soul Blake 20:40, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
Robotic Version Now Available!
So with the TF2 update tonight, there is now the selectable Robotic version of this! This section is to discuss what info needs to be put into this page about this new option for this hat. Fate Soul Blake 02:27, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
- There should really be images for the RED and BLU versions of both styles in the item infobox. Cooper Kid 23:25, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
New image
I found a new image for the googly gazer that has a better angle. Here it is.
- Well, there's your problem right there. It's from TF2Wiki. maggosh 04:14, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- That's actually Shine's screenshot from here which was replaced because it isn't a great angle. —Moussekateer·talk 04:15, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
Possible Reference (Based on "Old Render")
It seems that this item is a Steampunk reference. I am basing this on the Old Render image (as the title dictates) as well as the Man. I may not have made this connection if it wasn't for the Engineer already having "Steampunk Goggles" and from me buying a pair of Steampunk Goggles and my brother saying "You look like the Engineer, only taller and with hair." If you want to see the reference for yourself, then Google "Steampunk Goggles". Danton 06:49, 1 September 2011 (PDT)
- I don't see the connection. The Engineer wears goggles, those are Steampunk goggles - is that it? Lots of game characters wear goggles... » Cooper Kid (blether·contreebs) 11:01, 1 September 2011 (PDT)
