Pubstars vs Pros is a yearly community event, pitting nine "pub" players (players with no competitive experience) against six competitive players. It has been featured on the TF2 Official Blog.

Format

The teams play three maps, with the maps chosen beforehand. The winners of each map are the first to five wins on Standard Control Point maps; the team with the most points at the end of a preset time limit on Payload maps; or the first to four wins on King of the Hill maps.

Highlander class limits apply to the Pubstar team and competitive class limits apply to the competitive team. All unlocks can be used by both teams.
