The Fan O'War is a melee weapon for the Scout. It appears as a large metal Template:W.
Hitting an opponent with the Fan O'War "marks them for death," which is denoted by a skull and crossbones above the targets head. After this, any following hits dealt to them are mini-crits. However, it deals only 10% of the Bat's base damage.
The Fan O'War was released with the Shogun Pack, awarded to players who preordered Total War: SHOGUN 2 on Steam before March 15, 2011, as well as through purchase from the Mann Co. Store, crafting, and item drops. Versions of the item received via the Total War: SHOGUN 2 pre-order promotion have Genuine quality.
Trivia
- Template:W (軍配) were used by samurai officers in Japan for means of communication with their troops. They are also used by judges in sumo wrestling competitions.
