O TF2 Official Contribution Site foi feito para colocar a criatividade dos jogadores em acção no jogo Team Fortress 2. Isso não siguinifica que o jogador possa escolher os efeitos ou estatisticas de seu trabalho. Todos os itens mandados são revisados com padrões de qualdiade e consistencia, e só são adicionadso á equipe do Team Fortress 2 se não causar nenhum desequilibrio no jogo. Avatares nessecitam ser sinalizados como não sendo relacionados ao Team Fortress 2 pela comunidade. Contribuiçôes aceitas são Avatares do Steam, modelos de armas e Chapéus.

Regras de Submissão
Para manter o visual artistico do jogo, a equipe do Team Fortress 2 estabeleceu algumas regras de submissão. Todas as regras precisam estar em mente para mandar saus contribuições:
- Theme
- Estilo dos anos 50
- Manter as caracteristicas do jogador e sua biográfia
- Tecnicas de Modelagem
- Modelso realistas mas com um estilo de desenho
- Detalhes deve ter escalas proporcionais
- Deixe os modelos simples
- Tecnicas de textura
- Mantenha a qualidade de textura, nada com textura melhor ou pior no que está perto
- Hats precisam ter cores especificas ao time e cores base
- Textures should be simple and not a distraction.
- Technicals
- Hat models under 800 polygons
- Weapon models under 8000 polygons
- Textures no larger than 512x512 pixels, 256x256 being preferred
- Steam avatars must be 184x184 pixels and saved in .JPG format
- Source files must be included for models and materials.
- Thumbnails and in-game images must be 256x256 pixels.

The second package of community content was rolled out in the May 20, 2010 Patch. The following items were released at this time:
Engineer Update
The Engineer Update was rolled out in the July 8, 2010 Patch. Along with the normal Engineer items, a new community weapon was released:
Mann-Conomy Update
The Mann-Conomy Update added 65 brand new items. The majority of these were winning items from the Polycount Pack contest.
Australian Christmas
The Australian Christmas Update added another large amount of Community contributed items.
Shogun Pack
These items was created by Rob Laro on Sega's request for Total War: SHOGUN 2 promo.
