Removing
I have been trading for a LONG TIME I know what to do - Trusting admins is the safest thing you can do on any trading server because if they take whatever it is you trust them with - They either lose donations to their server OR they lose their power, Please go ask anyone who the most trusted person on an unusual hat club server is. The awnser will most likely involve "cloudy" And he is an admin - I built my entire backpack with 30 keys and buying promo games, now I have every non max/medal promo, every vintage item, and all but two genuines. Please stop removing my edits that are in fact helpful to most people - Thank you. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Graeme (talk) • (contribs)
- No, trusting admins on a trading server simply because they are an admin is just about the worst thing you can do. I've already proven that an admin of a certain server will lie without a second thought to get themselves a better trade. (Which involved a claim that their hat is the only existing hat with a particular quality that was disproven by a quick database search on optf2) Your credentials don't have any place on this wiki, especially considering that people have their own style of trading and trading itself actually hasn't existed long enough for anyone to claim they have been doing it for a "long time". The fact is that your edits are probably helpful to admins looking to exploit the trust of people to get a good trade, but that is about it. -- Lagg 21:46, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
- I personally consider half a year a long time. Also - Why do you insist on editing every page of this wiki? Do you spend your days doing that? Removing information that is helpful to people - Even if I was wrong about the admin, I doubt I was, you may be talking about a donator, still, the other information was relevent. Also where is your proof? Simply because you say it dosen't make it true, my father is the heavy and my mother is the pyro.— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Graeme (talk) • (contribs)
- I've personally seen what Lagg has described a few times, admins using their position to coerce naive people into bad deals. Trusting admins in general is a bad idea, and bad advice to newbies. Simple as. I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say 'Why do you insist on editing every page of this wiki?'. I make edits where they are needed, as any editor would. If you're referring to your recent Heavy trivia then please have a read through our trivia guidelines. Also please remember to sign your comments with ~~~~. —Moussekateer·talk 22:03, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
- It isn't a long time, and as staff it's our job to maintain pages and intervene when there are incorrect or potentially damaging edits like your own. No I was not talking about a donor. However by saying yourself that there are trade servers that give admin rights for donations and those that donate may misuse them. you lost your own argument. My proof are the people that will confirm that I did this database search, and linked to the items themselves (Most of the wiki channel). Unlike these servers I have a very real reputation myself on the line, both as the author and maintainer of optf2 and as a staff member. I have no motivation to provide false information. -- Lagg 22:05, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
- Ok so lets see here, your watching my edits, probably others too, some stuff you have removed, not from me, has been good data. Personally I don't care what you erase or not =p I can always put it back up :D - Have a nice life dude, I'm done talking :3— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Graeme (talk) • (contribs)
- yeah never trust admins plus graeme or whatever your name is your edits are removing good stuff.so stop adding bad stuff. ~AwesomeSauce~ 22:10, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sorry you feel that way but that's how a wiki works. All edits are scrutinised as they appear on Special:RecentChanges (and the IRC channel). If you feel strongly about a certain edit that was removed, feel free to start a discussion for its inclusion on the article talk page. —Moussekateer·talk 22:14, 30 March 2011 (UTC)

Hey Thanks for licensing that image for me. I couldn't figure out how to license it.Thanks.THE3STOOGES 23:13, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

Reporting a user
Hi, I'm a spanish traslator and I want to report a user, I hope that you will understand me. That user is ZliAle. He started editing and creating spanish articles. Like all beginners, he did a lot of issues, but that is not bad. That bad thing is that Dio, Gax and me warned him about how to edit properly the articles, an he ignored us. I fixed all the new articles created by ZliAle, but I'm tired. All articles have these issues:
- Very bad spanish gammar. The most of the sentences doesn't have sense. That, more than translation issue, is language one.
- Unfinished translations
- Unstranslated sentences
- Unstranslated links
- Unstranslated item names
I warn him about all of this, but instead of asnwer me and change his edit style, he deleted it from the talk D: I ask you to take the measures you need, thanks. Jag Gentleman 20:32, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- Support I agree. I think that he use the google translator to do the articles. Please, make something. Dio (talk) 20:42, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- I will get in contact with Piemanmoo about this matter. —Moussekateer·talk 20:51, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- He talked me, saying that I have anti-social life and that I'm ignorant. He said too that he talked with an admin who said that his editions are good... Jag Gentleman 04:14, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- Are you suggesting his translations are using Google translate or that they are poor? His translations seem fine formatting wise (I helped him with some formatting as he is new to wikis), so the only complaint I can see are his translations wise. —Moussekateer·talk 04:17, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know if he is using the Google translator or that them are very poor only, but I can say that in most of the cases someone need to rewrite the article. Jag Gentleman 13:54, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- See this edition, Is good for you? [1] Jag Gentleman 20:31, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- Well, it doesn't seem like it was Google Translate'd, but yes, he indeed could have put a little more effort on it. Don't try to see him as an enemy, instead as someone who's trying to help but doesn't know how to and constantly gets yelled at instead of receiving instructions from other members. And Jag, you've been quite disrespectful with him as well, by insulting him and threatening him with reports. So try to stop with the arguing and try to reach an agreement. – Epic Eric (T | C) 21:06, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- I never insult him, in everse, HE insult me in many ocassions. And if he want to improve, why he ignores the other translators? and why he doesn't fix the pages with code errors? Jag Gentleman 21:09, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- Right. Calling someone an "ogre" ain't insulting. Or saying that you'll "use his insults against himself" also ain't a threat. Look, he's either actually ignoring other translators or he'll just ignore you because you can't constructively criticize him. And do you know why he wouldn't fix that page? Because, like most translators, he barely understands Wiki code. If you were him, once you were done with that page, you'd see how hard it was to spot the only mistake that broke the whole template. I took wuite some time to notice what was wrong. Again, try to be nice with him and take it easy. If he doesn't understand the first times, there's no need to get mad at him. – Epic Eric (T | C) 21:16, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- I was calling "Ogre" to myself. See? if you don't have a certain level of spanish you can't juzge his editions. If he doesn't understand the code, he firstly can preview the page, and if is it bad done, he can ask us, but hestarted ignoring us so I won't help him. I don't inlust ni any moment, and he insult me in all editions. Jag Gentleman 21:21, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- How can he ask you if you are always shouting at him?! If I were him, I'd do that all by myself as well! It seems like this ain't going anywhere; whatever I say, you're not going to change your opinion. I'll post a note on his talk page, but you at least try to be nice with him. – Epic Eric (T | C) 21:29, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- He can ask shouting too, but not calling me ignorant and that I doesn't have life. I always am nice with the peolple who is nice with me, but if they are bad... Jag Gentleman 21:37, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- Listen, we understand you don't think highly of his edits. But you and Dio's aggresive attitude isn't helping. ZliAle was completely new to wiki editing and didn't know a single thing initially. You should be trying to help him. Also your template was completely inappropriate and very childish. I hope your attitude changes. —Moussekateer·talk 00:03, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

New Hats
I've recently spotted new hats that was catagorized on TF2TP. I've also seen them on the wiki as well. Is Valve planning on realesing these hats? If yes then when? Thanks. MattTrixism 20:37, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- One would assume later tonight, although that's not for certain. —Moussekateer·talk 20:51, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
New Item Prices
I posted the new hat prices HERE. The only reason I bug you about the prices is that you can do the British prices too. Also Ye Olde Rustic Color needs an alias to Ye Olde Rustic Colour. -- KillerKooK 00:18, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

Dude, thanks!
I recently discovered that Nero123 (Russian) was editing two of the new hats on norwegian without finishing the edits. I thank you for that you deleted one of them. Why the hell should people edit and leave it undone? Is this some kind of spam? The Noble Scout (T/C) 16:14, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
Question.
Hello, The new update with the "Portal 2 Pin" Do you have to play all those games to get it or just one or more? - 42Khane 17:25, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- The Resurrection Associate Pin article is quite clear, it says 'After playing all 13 these games'. —Moussekateer·talk 17:28, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- Okay sorry I might of read wrong thanks anyway. - 42Khane 17:51, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
Unfair removal?
I recently uploaded a .wav file that could possibly fit for Coldfront, but you removed it because it was from Poker Night at the Inventory. I want to know, why is it that this article: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Max%27s_Severed_Head can use a quote from Poker Night at the Inventory, even though the hat is from pre-ordering the Devil's Playhouse, not Poker Night, but Coldfront cannot? Also, if you possibly bring up something like"that's because it's referencing to the hat," the same could also be said for the quote I uploaded or the Heavy's story possibly taking place nearby Coldfront. Related or not, they are still both Poker Night at the Inventory material. Note that I'm not angry or anything, just curious. --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner 18:15, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
- like he said, we don't have permission to use it since it's copyrighted. —GeminiViRiS Talk · Contribs 18:18, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
- I've removed the sound file from the Max's Severed Head article for now. —Moussekateer·talk 18:26, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
- I can understand why he removed the file, it was just that there was another article that had a Poker Night sound file, but now that's been removed, that conflict's over and done with. So since the quote is still there (text-wise), would it be alright to at least use the Heavy's quote in text-form in regards to having to "wait in cold anticipation for your enemy." for the Coldfront article? --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner 21:03, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
- I personally have no issue with it being used. —Moussekateer·talk 21:17, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

My image
I want to ask you: why did you delete my icon? You deleted last icon, you deleted this. What image I should put if you don't like previous?--SE_shimku 18:55, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- It's a good idea to check the Recent changes page to see what happened to your image and, if it was deleted, the reason for its deletion. In your case the file was incorrectly named. The file upload page clearly states how images for personal use should be named, remember this in future. The image can be found at the correct name File:User Shimku Spy TF2 icon.png. Currently unreleased content - Portal 2 Cube Pin
Well, i want to ask You: will you delete it and, if yes, why? I saw that in Russia version of this page Companion Cube Pin isn't realised yet. I refreshed it - I sad that it was given to people who pre-purchased Portal 2. May be it is better to delete it, like in English version. Hope you will think. http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Currently_unreleased_content/ru --SE_shimku 15:24, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
- Well the Russian pages should mirror the content of the English pages, so yes if it isn't on the English page remove it from the Russian page. —Moussekateer·talk 17:46, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
- OK, I did it. Now it is a mirror of English page.--SE_shimku 10:39, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Missing icon in the "Achievements" article
Hey Blancmange, you may wish to check out the Achievements article at some point, as Template:Class achievement layout (used under the "Class Specific Achievements" (sic) heading) seems to be missing a class icon for the Scout. I checked out the template, but I couldn't find anything. Damn those templates built upon other templates! Anyway, just a "heads up" as they say. Hopefully the missing icon is not due to a problem with my browser. That would be annoying. --- Esquilax ( | ) 01:15, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

You really are fast with editing, at first I wondered where my Trivia for the Googly Gazer was.
Also, can you give me advice for editing? I am new to editing wiki sites.
Krazy Ivan 10:20, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Heya. Sorry about that, I like to keep an eye on the RC page :) First off don't forget to make use of show preview. Every edit you make on talk pages sends the person an email and floods the RC page :( We have a pretty snazzy Task list over here where you can find stuff to do. Feel free to ask questions, hope you enjoy your time here :) —Moussekateer·talk 10:23, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice, I edited Doublejump/de, it had some grammar issues. If you know German or someone who knows German, you can check Scout Strategy/de. - Always make sure to do background checks 'n' shit when tradin' with a supposed scammer. This here gives several countermeasures to dealin' with scammers. Make sure to read it all. I did and all my Items have remained mine. I have never been scammed and because of dat guide, I ain't about to start now. Perhaps if you had carried out every step on here your appeal may have been enough to deal with them, especially if he never followed up his promise. Though if you did accept something like "You Trade me, then I trade you" or "Selling Games for Unusuals", that is flat out not gonna get you them back. If you did either of those VALVe will either invoke their "You agreed to the trade, nothin' we can do" crud or "You done a trade for a Game in exchange for a Hat/Hats, which is not in the Terms of Service. Because of that, we cannot help you". I assume you didn't do either of those, right? Lancer anti-tank Rocket 11:22, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

On Replays you removed the example video. I understand you dont want people to farm views but if you just read into it you would find that 1: That's not mine nor a friend's video and 2: I used it to show the motion blur and what you can achieve with the replay editor. okay so I'm going to add it again. 42Khane 16:29, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Fair enough, but please don't re-add it. The video doesn't really demonstrate much. A video of the editor itself would be much more useful. —Moussekateer·talk 16:33, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Dueling Mini Game Edit
Hi there, I'm new to the Team Fortress Wiki, but I noticed that you changed my edit to the Dueling Mini Game page, regarding how I said the item drop does not count against the item limit. I understand this, but on the Item Drop System page, there seems to be some ambiguity. It says that the estimated weekly item drop cap is anywhere from 7-12 items. So maybe I did not understand that clearly, also, I recall that it states that crates do not count against the weekly item cap, so wouldn't the items received from a Dueling Mini Game apply the same way? Anyways, I just wanted to clarify. Daggra 23:02, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hey there. The Item Drop System page does seem to have some poorly worded sentences that lead to that ambiguity. The current system seems to be that you have 9-10 hours in which to find drops. Drops can occur every 30-70 minutes, which is where the apparent 'drop cap' comes from. But really it's a cap on time not on number of items, there's a subtle difference. This drop system is separate from any items you get from achievements/duel wins/crate openings, this should be clear. So yes dueling mini game items don't count against your cap but this should be obvious, the same way opening multiple crates doesn't reduce the number of items you get in drops. —Moussekateer·talk 23:09, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. Maybe the Item Drop System page could be slightly edited in order to provide some better clarity? And the way I see it, crates and other usable items do not use up your allotted 11 hours each week, right? Perhaps that could be added for clarity as well. Daggra 00:12, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- No problem. Feel free to edit that page to make it more clear. That is correct, achievement items/duel win items/items received from crate openings/items received from trades all do not count as part of your allotted time. —Moussekateer·talk 00:15, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
