The Haunted Halloween Gift is a special pickup which spawned during the 2010 Halloween Special Event in Mann Manor. It appears as a large, lime-green gift box with a bright orange ribbon. The player who collects the gift box will receive a random Halloween Mask; upon collecting all nine, one can craft the Saxton Hale Mask.
The gift will spawn at one of many predetermined locations on the map, 5 minutes into the round or 5 minutes after the previous gift was collected. An alert will be sent to all players when it appears in the map. The gift is translucent for the first few seconds after it spawns and cannot be picked up; this allows other players to move or kill anyone waiting for it to solidify. Another alert will be sent to all players once the gift is collected along with a cheering sound clip and balloons.
There must be a minimum of ten players on the server for the gift to appear. This only includes actual Steam clients, not bots.

October 27, 2010 Patch (Scream Fortress Update)
- The Haunted Halloween Gift was added to the game.
- Fixed spectators collecting the Haunted Halloween Gift in Mann Manor.
- Fixed players who are spectating teammates being able to collect the Haunted Halloween Gift in Mann Manor.
Bugs
- The gift can spawn in an inaccessible hallway, near the first control point, preventing players from reaching it. If uncollected the present will remain in location until the map changes.
Trivia
- If the gift spawns seconds before the round ends and nobody collects it before the teams switch sides, the gift will remain in place during the change.
- It is possible to collect the gift during Humiliation.
