Mann Co. Supply Crate Keys are single-use tool items which are available from the Mann Co. Store. They were originally only obtainable from the store and could not be traded. In the October 20 update, it becomes tradable.[1] They are the only method to unlock crates, another type of item which occasionally contains a singular rare item.
This item is a Tool. It can only be applied to the Mann Co. Supply Crate in your backpack, and is consumed in the process. Click the 'Use with...' button in the backpack to start the process of applying it.
