Mann. Co Supply Crates are tool items obtainable only through the item drop system. They can be unlocked using Mann Co. Supply Crate Keys, only purchasable on the Mann Co. Store for the price of 2.50 USD.
When unlocked, the crate yields one of the items listed in its series and is then removed from the player inventory.

An "Unusual Napper's Respite"
An 'Exceedingly Rare Special Item' found in a crate may be a random hat with the 'Unusual' quality. Unusual items have purple-colored names with a random 'super rare' particle effect. The 'Exceedingly Rare Special Item' can also be another crate.
