Jag?
I think that the Jag should be edited in. [] /shadow/sShaD'OhsS 20:05, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
- It is not a official weapon. This Template only features official weapons, and not concepts such as Ludmilla. Jeff Andonuts 03:33, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
Frying pan
Frying pan should be added to soldier and demo weps Stripedy 00:46, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
Rocket Jumper?
I think that the Rocket Jumper should be in the list. [] /shadow/sShaD'OhsS 22:06, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
"Craft" rather than "Drop"
Could the word "Craft" be more appropriate than "Drop" in the sub-row? After all, all the unlockables are also obtainable by random drop, while the others (Pain Train, Homewrecker, etc.) can be crafted with a specific blueprint.--Kid Of The Century 07:45, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- Perhaps Craft/Drop -Firestorm 07:48, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- Makes it clearer, the Drop term is just what I made up when I ran roughshod over the template one night as well as all the weapon pages. --Org 12:52, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
Organization?
Is it possible to make the chart a little cleaner? It's hard to distinguish what is an unlock, and what are drops/crafted. Perhaps alternating highlighted lines? The demoman's section, for example, is not easy to distinguish. --ManaTree 02:06, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
Golden Wrench
Golden Wrench should be in "special" section, not "promotion". --SandeProElite 21:57, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- It was promoting the Engineer update -- Benjamuffin 22:08, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- Promotion in the sense that it was given as a gift to promote the purchasing of a different product, like Bill's Hat for L4D2 and the Sam and Max weapons. I'll fix it up. seb26 (talk) 22:15, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- I understood the terminology. I wouldn't be a member of any wiki if I couldn't grasp such a thing. I was simply thinking of practicality. Regardless of the intention of the category, the Golden Wrench fits fine given the reason above. There's no need for a whole new category. -- Benjamuffin 22:25, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- I wasn't criticising you, it's just promoting the Engineer update seemed like a bit of a stretch with the term promotion. I went ahead and changed it anyway as it really is only minor. If there is a promotional melee weapon coming out then we'll just change it back. No hassle :) seb26 (talk) 22:32, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ah I didn't mean to come across harsh in any way so I apologize if it did. Fair enough on the choice, but to further poke a dead horse as it were, I thought this might help:

"Promotion keeps the product in the minds of the customer and helps stimulate demand for the product. Promotion involves ongoing advertising and publicity" -- Benjamuffin 22:35, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Unlock/Drop distinction intentional
I think we discussed previously that you don't "unlock" community made weapons therefore they get their own distinction as "drop" weapons. -- Pilk (talk) 22:32, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- "Unlock" meaning through random drops, or through achievements, because it can work both ways. Distinguishing between weapons that can be unlocked through the latter seems unnecessary to me. It seems better to just keep all non-standard weapons together. Agree / disagree? seb26 (talk) 22:41, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- We've discussed this at length before. The consensus was to distinguish between them. -- Pilk (talk) 22:44, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yep, it's been discussed a lot before
- Unlock = Can be unlocked through achievements, dropped or crafted.
- Drop = Cannot be unlocked through achievements and must be either found or crafted. --Firestorm 00:27, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

"Craft" rather than "Drop" redux
Since it looks like the Weapons page, and the individual weapon pages have had the term 'Drop' changed to 'Craft', should this template be updated as well? --Org 05:54, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
GRU/Showdown
According to the Gloves of Running Urgently page, it uses the Showdown taunt. Anyone want to add that in?--SAJewers 13:02, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
Battalion's Backup
Backup, not Back-up. Erebus 04:34, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
Sets
Maybe we shoud add information about sets? AAT 15:00, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
Demo's slots
The Stickybomb Launcher and its replacements are Primary Weapons despite being in slot 2 in-game. The inverse is true of the Grenade Launcher. Anybody with permission care to change it or grant me permission? Rebmcr 12:08, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- We already went over this in the past and stuck with the former. -- Vi3trice (talk) 12:18, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- In consideration of this issue (and in accordance with our Style guide) I've changed instances of "Primary" and "Secondary" to "Slot 1" and "Slot 2", respectively, when referring to lists of weapons that cover all classes. People can still use the terms "primary" and "secondary" for most individual cases, but when the terms apply to demoman or spy (which is the case for a table like this, which includes all weapons), Slot # is much less disagreeable and confusing. ~G-Mang (T|C) a 22:49, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- That's good. People that need to know whether they are primary or secondary for crafting can see the table on the crafting page anyway. Also, should we rename "Standard" to "Stock" since that's what Valve calls them now? MK 04:57, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Polycount sub-row
I think that a Polycount sub-row would be useful. --Goozer 13:47, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- Not until more Polycount Packs will be released. Shock394 22:15, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Sticky Jumper
I think the Sticky jumper is in the wrong group, supposed to be in the Craft Section. Shock394 00:03, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
New PNatI Weapons
Heavy Iron Curtain
Spy Enthusiast's Timepiece
"Standard" label
Ah, I pointed this out on the Weapons page itself previously; I didn't notice that the template shared the labeling issue. For the sake of consistency throughout the wiki, I propose that the 'Standard' label be changed to 'Stock', so that it does not contrast with the likes of the Weapons page and individual weapon pages. Disaster 00:08, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
- They changed it due to Valve always refer them as Stock. Shock394 04:55, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
- Well if Valve themselves calls the original weapons 'Stock' weapons, and a majority of other wiki pages label them as 'Stock' weapons, then the obvious action to take would be to label the weapons as 'Stock' weapons here as well, no? Disaster 00:09, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
Lugermorph is in, but Iron Curtain and Enthusiast's Timepiece is Not
Both of those are technically promotional items as well, as they are given through the purchase of a game and progress in the game, similar to that of the Alien Swarm Parasite. Should they be added to Heavy's and Spy's Promotional weapon unlocks? Tidmiste 05:11, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
- Lugermorph and Big Kill are already ingame whereas the ones you listed are NOT. Psychopath 05:09, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

- No, add them until it is officially released. Shock394 18:00, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
- Technically, they are officially released. The portal pin is in the misc template, these two weapons need to be added Balladofwindfishes 00:48, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

A few minor nitpicks
Between the PDA2 and Taunts lines, the divider line is in the wrong spot. In addition, the PDA2 row does not have the rows within it alternate in background color, an inconsistency from the other rows. Psychopath 06:44, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
- Just came here to note the line issue. It seems to have been made when the Promotion row was added without increasing the rowspan of the PDA2 box. Fixing that and the alternating row colors will be easy once someone gets around to it. MK 10:49, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Not working in translated pages?
