    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.

WindBOT problem

I received your message, thanks.

However, the WindBOT keeps editing the "This user has deleted their Steam account." part on the "Koala Compact/zh-hans" page. Though I used the {{botignore}} template to avoid it editing this part, it still undoes my translation for this part.--ApertureLab (talk) 12:13, 27 June 2021 (UTC)

Yep, I noticed that on the English page too. No real way to avoid it I suppose.

About the CritHitChance.png

I thought maybe someone could edit Critical hits and add some information on the crits chance changes, and add that old image which is about the difference of new and old crits chance mechanism, that could be useful.

By the way, since you already overwrite the old image, it's SVG source code could be deleted as well. I made the new image in a spreadsheet software. There's no source code to upload.

--AlexT 12:57, 19 July 2021 (UTC)

I think it may be better to keep this in case a new use is found for the old image (It's still saved in case it gets reverted). I'm not entirely sure what changes should be mentioned, update history is there to display the changes made and there is no need to mention how it used to work. If players want to find that out, there is a blog post in the references sectino that explains it.

Translated Videos

Hey! Why was that change necessary in the Polish versions of Meet the Team videos articles? The official ones don't have interlanguage subtitles. MatikTheSeventh (talk) 13:34, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

I've changed every single non-official video on every meet the team pages. The issue with non-official translations is that we have no way of knowing if any personal beliefs were put into the video (E.g. Meet the Pyro having every pronoun changed to "she" because the video uploader believes Pyro is a woman). There is also the issue of them being able to be taken down at any moment (For example, zh-hant Meet the Spy was non-existent, an English video is better than nothing). I'll see if anything can be arranged for subtitles on a wiki channel re-upload, but having videos from personal YT accounts is not good.

TCRF

Apparently you said it isn't accurate, and has no sources. I can send you proof about v_pda, if you wish to contact me on discord.

Alieneer#7667 K1ngD3D3D3 (talk) 18:17, 4 August 2021 (UTC)

The issue is that we need some kind of way to know that this is from Valve, without any doubt. This is very hard to prove and the sharing of files is exactly what is trying to avoid here, even "behind the scenes".
GrampaSwood (talk) 18:30, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
I'm not sharing the original files, png's aren't the original files they are exports of the vtf, and as such are fine. Screenshots of the directories are fine as well. K1ngD3D3D3 (talk) 18:38, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
v_pda is also still in the final games, files so it wouldn't even matter if it was warez.

TFW:Discussion continuation

Moved from TFW:Discussion#Unused content policy to stay on topic.

So the issue is not some grudge against a user (We aren't petty), nor is it entirely about how trustworthy it is. This is an official Valve wiki, content hosted here that is not officially given by Valve or somehow reclaimable through the TF2 files from Steam (now or in the past) should not be hosted here. This should already be a thing on the wiki, even if in the e-mail Eric does not explicitly state it about other leaks it goes without saying. Verifying it is also an issue, but the bigger issue lies in Valve not wanting this.

As to how this is ban evasion. It's simple, he edits through you. You can claim to be another person but it's essentially the same thing, having another person/account do the edits you want to is evading the ban. No way around that.
GrampaSwood (talk) 18:37, 4 August 2021 (UTC)

I'm in contact with 404UNF, according to him, thefixed2021, is just a friend he has who is next door to him. K1ngD3D3D3 (talk) 18:46, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
Regardless of that, 404 should not do this. He is banned for a good reason and this is, in fact, evading a ban to still edit. Different person/account, it's the same principle.
GrampaSwood (talk) 18:48, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
There is no proof that thefixer2021 is 404UNF, editing styles are not proof, and 404UNF's last ban was purposeful, it was him wanting to leave this site for good. K1ngD3D3D3 (talk) 18:52, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
Besides Thefixer saying 404 edits through him, there is no proof yeah.
GrampaSwood (talk) 18:53, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
maybe remove that Boba dudes remark too since it's obvious what he's doing (trying to provoke drama to get me banned). I mean, I find it interesting how quickly he came to reply to that discussion after you posted it. Almost makes me think he was tipped off... Thefixer2021 (talk) 19:02, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
I DM'd him about it, as he is one of the few "regular" editors (seems to care about wiki-related stuff and wants to give input). same way I pinged all staff about it in the staff channel. Anyone else who puts their input into this kind of stuff usually checks the recent changes so it's not necessary. As for Boba's edit, it just seems to be something regarding the ban evasion which anyone is free to give their input on.
GrampaSwood (talk) 19:10, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
If it helps at all, I only almost blocked you because you were being a brat towards staff besides me. I usually just block on first bratty outburst but I'll try the diplomatic route this time. Maybe somehow the point that I don't like bratty little outbursts at staff besides me will reach its way back to 404 and he'll learn something for the first time in several years. -- Lagg Backpack Stickybomb Launcher.png 06:32, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
Also, deciding to have a little flipping-the-game-board moment on that nav when all Swood did was ask a question about a policy concern - as part of his job in moderating content - is *not* how you discourage me from calling you a brat. Thankfully that "boba dude" (who I literally know nothing about besides that he reminds me of a tea ingredient) reverted your temper tantrum. Because I don't want this stuff disappearing off the wiki anymore than I *thought* you did as you can see from my Discussion post. You know, right up until you wiped out the links to it in that nav. -- Lagg Backpack Stickybomb Launcher.png 07:59, 8 August 2021 (UTC)

TF2 Cheating Page

Regarding your redaction of the VAC Bypass, i think it should be included, as 1. it does not break any rules and 2. the anti aim section also shows how to perform a fake angle.

Electro spaz (talk) 00:25, 27 August 2021 (UTC)

It explains how to perform a cheat, this doesn't have to be explicitly stated in any rule to know that's not okay to list. I've removed the anti-aim section that describes how the cheat is performed in detail, as having one bad example doesn't make others okay.
GrampaSwood (talk) 09:30, 27 August 2021 (UTC)

Unusual Effect GIFs concept discussion.

Howdy there, Swood! I have a question that you may have the answer to. I've noticed that on the Unusual page, the listed Unusual effects are all still images, instead of a moving demonstration of what the effects look like and how they move in-game. I've been wondering if we could start creating GIFs to better display the particle effects and replace the old still images? It's something I've considered bringing up to the Wiki staff before, but haven't had the time to hop on the IRC to discuss it.

Hope to hear from ya'! --CaptainKodachrome (talk) 20:54, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

It has been suggested before, but I think the reason they've not been implemented is because it takes very long to load them. For example, look at an old revision of the Item timeline page. At one point they've all been replaced to links, but they used to all be on the page. It would give an idea of how long it would take to load the Unusual page (and probably even longer). Maybe there is some workaround by simply having the templates have an optional GIF tab, but I think that'll also load really slowly. Maybe other people know a workaround, but to my knowledge it'll just end up with huge loading times.
GrampaSwood (talk) 22:14, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

Alright. With that in mind, I'll see if there's a work-around to lessen the load-times for such a thing. I'll let you know if I find anything. If not, then I probably got kidnapped by the web ninjas.

Cheers! --CaptainKodachrome (talk) 00:49, 13 September 2021 (UTC)

Maybe have something that only loads the .gif file when the user mouse-over the static image? We could also try .webm files and a .webm player. However, there is a problem with looping. Most unsual effects has a "intro" animation, then it later loops. I have no idea how we could do that. Where do i add it?
OddGod8005 (talk) 21:43, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
Simply add a link to an image (Using a site like imgur, for example) or a link to a video (Using a site such as youtube, for example) in the edit summary (The box of text above the "This is a minor edit" and "Watch this page" buttons).

Slasher patch note edit

In regards to your response, here's proof that this was the change that happened according to the most recent patch. The rc2 version of the slasher map is the most recent version by the original creator, with no edits by valve. As seen here, the yeti cutout isn't behind the tree unlike the current version of slasher, which does have it. Here's the history of the map on tf2 maps. Would this edit be more fitting for the notes section? I'm new, and it would be helpful to be given some insight so I can make better edits in the future, thanks!

Slender (talk) 23:24, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
Stuff such as this is not noted on a page such as Slasher, but rather on the patch note page itself here. However, as Mikado pointed out in private Steam chat, the cardboard cutout is appropriate Trivia due to being an easter egg of some sort.

Miss Pauling's name

Good day Swood,

For my edit on Miss Pauling, my reference to the Trivia section concerning the Soundtrack confirming her first initial is "F.", was about the Trivia section on her page itself which says the same. I believe that my edit was right to include in front, Wiki-style with colloquial name after, as Miss Pauling lacks a bio column (with motto, emblem, etc.) like the classes. Thoughts?--Leaderboard class allclass.png Akolyth (talk) 22:50, 29 October 2021 (UTC)

The way your reference source was phrased made it seem like the trivia section of the soundtrack page contained the source. Feel free to undo.

Nuts n Bolts """""""""Bug""""""""

https://youtu.be/CFahNRijK58 As I said this was never a bug. It was a change made by someone who has no clue how perspective works. SavageSadistic (talk) 21:49, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

Thank you, however, in the future it would help if it was communicated in a friendlier way. TF2 works in many weird ways at times, it could be possible that unusual effects were based on a person's perspective. It being in the second gen it's not impossible for something to be messed up and it to work in a weird way, but future ones working just fine (This has happened with CS:GO knife deploy times. Different ones had different deploy times, despite being reskins of the original knife).

Is there an equivalent to drafts on this Wiki?

I have been active on a wide array of Wiki's I don't however spend much time on this Wiki, therefore is there an equivalent to a draft. IE: An article in construction that is not ready for main-space but still meets the requirements of the scope of the Wiki? I have looked and found no Drafts on this Wiki, so I assume there is some equivalence. Many thanks. Des1 (talk) 22:22, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

Your best bet would be a sandbox page, such as User:Des1/Mixes or User:Des1/Pugs (Based on your edits).

Colors of flags

Many country flags do not match the general style, for example: North Korean, Malaysian, Indonesian, Jamaican, Philippines, and Venezuelan. Please pay attention to them. Far (talk) 14:42, 19 December 2021 (UTC)

Could bring that in a friendlier way, but the majority of them do match the style. No reason to overwrite a perfectly fine and style-conforming one for one that doesn't.

Category

Hi i want to know better how to crate an category for user images Team fortess noober (talk) 14:59, 22 December 2021 (UTC)

If you mean adding a category to your user images. Type Category:User images in the file's summary when uploading. User images don't have categories beyond that.

3D Model updates

Hey Swood, I saw that you added {{Need3D}} to a bunch of images in jan 2019, what particularly needs re-doing? I can get set up to be able to run the scripts again, but I'm not sure what exactly you want redone. Darkid « TalkContribs » 05:58, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

Back then Vasya told me to go through all 3D images that were created before 16 May 2017, I remember something about them using an outdated method. Not all of them are marked for updating as I didn't do much wiki stuff for 3 months or so and forgot about it. I do remember that the Rocket 3D model had some weird issue going on when you looked at the back.

Force a nature sound

Scatter_gun_double_shoot stands for double barreled scatter gun (shotgun) which the force of nature is as can be seen in the sound files the force of nature double barrel scatter gun sounds can be found with the tube open and close sounds something a only a break open shotgun which the force of nature is would do as well as the shell removal sounds which makes sense for the force a nature as its shells are placed in the barrels by the scout, you can even see that the soda popper another double barreled shotgun's firing sounds are named in a similar way.

The sound files can be seen in the image linked below https://imgur.com/a/vtOIyiq Medicmanofmedicland (talk) 14:50, 20 January 2022 (UTC)

The Scattergun was originally also conceptualised as a double-barreled shotgun that could be broken open. It's not unlike Valve to keep going with a certain naming scheme, even if it's wrong or outdated (See: critical death .mp3s being named "paincrticialdeath0x.mp3").

ConTracker Animation Bug Update

Hello

So the December 2021 patch made it so that you're not able to access your contracts within your taunt menu. That means the previous method of staying in the Contracker pose is not usable

Removed Discord link from the TFArena 6v6 Arena Mode Cup

Greetings. I have been adding links to tournaments since 2019 periodically. Maybe this is some kind of mistake, is it really forbidden on the wiki now? I would note that small tournaments (like this one) have long been entirely based on Discord servers. I also participated in such tournaments and I'm in touch with some administrators of such cups (who at the same time want a link to their tournament on the wiki, this tournament is no exception).

Just in case, here are the proof that this is not a random link: https://match.tf/tournaments/163 (this site is used to disseminate information about small tournaments as well as build a team for them). Just compare: the links are identical to each other.

3SemiN8 (talk) 23:58, 12 February 2022 (UTC)

We've decided to remove Discord links as they require an account to access and that's not something we want on the wiki (Unless it's a Steam account, which is a given considering this is a Valve-endorsed website about a game exclusively available on Steam).
GrampaSwood (talk) 00:10, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

About the carrier tank

You're misunderstood. I removed that detail and it was there previously. Even if they had no animations when they were on official maps, this was temporary and theyre no longer there. Why should a fact from a short period almost a decade ago stay in the wiki page? The wording is also exceptionally confusing and gives people the wrong idea Meatloaf97 (talk) 16:43, 13 March 2022 (UTC)

The purpose of the wiki is to document information, many people were not around that long ago and may not have known that. I don't see what's confusing about the wording, it clearly states in MvM the tank is animated but in regular maps (As is also documented in the main paragraph) they weren't.
GrampaSwood (talk) 17:06, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
It would better fit as trivia or notes, because being in the main body makes people assume it is current information. It isn't Meatloaf97 (talk) 17:08, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
Simply using "were" instead of "are" would also solve this issue, how the page currently is seems fine too.

Your 'user images' warning has some bad substitutions

Hey swood, I saw you left a message on User talk:SupremeLeaderWilson, with a warning about 'be sure to prefix your images with User'. It looks like you're using a template and it looks like that template isn't subst:-ing away entirely:

Hi {{#if:||SupremeLeaderWilson}},

Can you take a look and make sure it's operating correctly? We should avoid leaving cruft on userpages whenever possible. Darkid « TalkContribs » 08:51, 7 April 2022 (UTC)

I actually meant to message you about this, as I'm not too experienced with templates. It also has an issue with the parameters sometimes not working properly. For example, if I type category=no then I try to use the third parameter (One for custom messages) it just doesn't show up at all. I have no idea what the issue is.
GrampaSwood (talk) 17:24, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
What's the template name? I'll add it to my backlog. Darkid « TalkContribs » 02:55, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
It's User:GrampaSwood/Template:UF. Thanks in advance.
GrampaSwood (talk) 07:43, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
I've noticed when testing that the category bit doesn't work anymore, as well as the pagename one being broken. Feel free to rewrite the entire template from scratch and just making it what it's supposed to be (It's supposed to be similar to {{sp}} in usage). But if you don't have time/don't want to, I understand too.
GrampaSwood (talk) 20:25, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
I messed up category. Should be fixed now. What's going wrong with the pagename? Darkid « TalkContribs » 21:38, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
When I try to use it, it just shows up blank. I write it as {{subst:User:GrampaSwood/Template:UF||test|Category=no}}, so maybe there's an error in there? I also think it would be fine if the custom message was removed, I think I made it just so my signature wouldn't have 2 breaks in it.

Weapons Demonstration Reservation Inquiry

Is it OK to override someone's demonstration if they didn't bother finishing it for years? Like, the one for the Crusader's Crossbow has been in hiatus for two years. I wanted to ask the reserver (Thedop) himself to ask whether is it okay to override his reservation. It seems that I cannot establish a communication with him, unfortunately (not even in Steam). — Exaskliri (they/them) (talk | contribs) 10:43, 18 April 2022 (UTC)

I believe the project page itself states you can override them after a while. Follow those guidelines and you should be fine.

Allbrero older version in Meet the medic

I didn't include the pictures of the model that was included in the medic short, since technically it would fall under the leaked content rules.

But heres pictures for a proof that the sombrero in meet the Medic is the same hat but just repurposed later for Expiration date and made to Allbrero.

The model is exactly the same ,except Allbrero has the chin strap removed and the textures altered little bit. The Allbrero textures even has the old chinstraps textures still in it where the models UV should have them.

Frontier Justice Revenge Crit Bug Testing

Hey GrampaSwood! I'm the person who edited the Frontier Justice page after looking at the Revenge Crit bug listed there and finding that it didn't work as described. You wanted some proof so I recorded a video. However, I found that I couldn't get ANY of the Wrenches to lose the Revenge Crits when switching back and forth from the Gunslinger, even the Eureka Effect which I thought was the only one being affected last time. Perhaps I didn't have the Frontier Justice on last time and was simply mistaken? Regardless, this time all my loadouts were the exact same except for the tool in question. The video isn't the best looking or sounding since I don't really deal with them that often, but it should be enough for demonstration purposes. Hope it helps in some way!

MEGA Link: Video

PS: If you need it to be on Youtube I can do that as well, I just figured this would be easier to scrutinize and that there wouldn't be a reason to keep it up permanently.

Mr. James (talk) 18:36, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

This should be fine, I can look into it later as well and see if I can get it to work somehow. But it seems from this video that the bug isn't true at all, so I've removed it.

Thank you

Good afternoon, morning or evening to you GrampaSwood. I just wanted to say thanks for giving me tips on how to properly use the wiki :) The preview thingy is extremely helpful.

No worries, that's what I'm here for :D

Bug about the Sticky Jumper crit sound

So if that doesn't count as a bug on the Sticky Jumper then wouldnt that apply to the Rocket Jumper[1] bug page as well? OddGod8005 (talk) 10:38, 4 July 2022 (UTC)

It should indeed not be on there. I've removed it now.

Shotgun page edits

I recently made an edit adding some bugs with the Shotgun's properties in the game. In order to restore those edits, I will say the proof about them. I have noticed them myself in game and they are still present, I see them every time I play. Here's screenshots from a video in 2019 that shows the bugs aren't only on my copy of TF2. The shotgun demonstration videos for the wiki also show them.

File:TF2 Shotgun BugProof.jpg
Excuse the quality of this image but what it shows should be visible enough.

SaulLawTipsABQ (talk) 01:09, 15 July 2022 (UTC)

Yes, this is sufficient proof. I'll delete both this + the other Shortstop image (which can also be seen with a high FOV, btw, but very stretched out) as they served their purpose. Feel free to undo.

Response to recent edit on Millennial Mercenary

Look, I get that the meme status of the item may not seem relevant to you, but I'm certain it's why the item was made in the first place, so it should be included as part of that trivia. I doubt this hat would be made if not for the meme.

Also, since the source for the definition of "millennial" isn't being cited in the first place, does it really matter if it's changed slightly? The edit was based on the general consensus that Gen Y ends at around ~2000.

trashbinprod (talk) 04:28, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

The definition was directly taken from the Wikipedia page, as it's linked directly before that. If you want to add the stuff about memes you will have to get proof from the creators that it's based on a meme, in which case that'll be a separate trivia.

Question about how to verify bugs and fixes.

On the internet, I could only find recent documentation of the white rectangle bug for Lazarus and Mossrock. One of the early sources had a picture of Banana Bay with the bug, and I have seen people say years ago that they've experienced the bug on Enclosure, though I have not personally experienced the bug on Banana Bay nor Enclosure since I rarely play those maps. Additionally, I can confirm from personal experience the console commands resetting upon closing tf2 without an autoexec and r_drawdetailprops 0 hiding the white boxes on Mossrock and Lazarus (I played a game of Lazarus after finding out how to hide the boxes, saw the boxes again, saw that r_drawdetailprops was set to 1 despite me setting it to 0 earlier before closing tf2, then retyped r_drawdetailprops 0, which successfully hid the white boxes. I then found out about autoexec.cfg, and after adding an autoexec I successfully saved the command that fixes the visual bug)

What would be a good way to confirm to the wiki that the command fixes the visual bug, that an autoexec.cfg saves console commands, and to verify the bug's existence on Banana Bay and Enclosure? Unnamed anon (talk) 20:58, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

While an autoexec does save console commands, it doesn't necessarily mean that non-autoexec commands don't get saved. For example, binding "o" to explode would save even if you close the game. As for the bugs on Banana Bay and Enclosure, all it needs is pictures in the edit summary of the bug happening.
For the command to be counted as fixing the visual bug (which should probably only be noted on the appropriate map pages), you would need to simply make a recording of encountering this bug on a map then type in the command and having the visual bug disappear.

Hey

I noticed my page for my sandbox got deleted and I want it back, I will make the changes like you mentioned before okay? --ShadowMan44 (talk) 07:53, 30 July 2022 (UTC)

Sure, I was going to restore it in roughly ~1 week time anyways.

Double Cross environment

The RED base on Doublecross is specifically described as a farmhouse and the map in general has plenty of greenery and other elements much less indicative of a purely industrial environment, including a pair of dirt tire tracks leading OoB from the RED courtyard. Even if "farmland" in particular doesn't work it should still include something to that effect, maybe "rural" or "alpine" would work better? GoldenHorde (talk) 23:14, 9 August 2022 (UTC)

I'd go for Alpine considering the skybox is Alpine, a map like Harvest is a lot more farmland than Doublecross.

Purplemana's edits

Hello, it's Purplemana :) I recently went on a wiki-updating streak rather than doing my homework. I'm going to address a lot of the changes I made, and you can tell me which you agree with so that it can be changed back.

Sentry Gun: June 18, 2014 Patch

"Sentry bullets are now affected by damage falloff outside of sentry scan range. Sentry bullet damage has been changed so it calculates damage based on the Sentry Gun's position, not the Engineer's."

Sentry bullets having damage ramp-up and falloff isn't a bug, evidenced by the patch notes above

Eureka Effect: Bug is showcased at 4.00 of this Uncle Dane video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLYQ__tbCYk&t=487s

Jag: I didn't claim that Sappers taking 3 hits to destroy was a bug. I put it in the trivia section because the sapper taking 3 hits to destroy goes against what the weapon card informs the player, even though it's intentional. I removed the bug because I simply don't believe it exists. There isn't any proof of it existing, so I can't really provide proof that it doesn't exist.

Rescue Ranger: Same thing, no proof of the bug, so I can't disprove it. Pretty confident it isn't a thing, though.

Loose Cannon: Trivia shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xe0P0rnsS1Q&t=1s

Buffalo steak sandvich: December 22, 2010 Patch

The Buffalo Steak Sandvich's speed boosting effect no longer stacks on any other speed boosting effect (i.e., the effect of the Gloves of Running Urgently).

The Eviction Notice not giving the extra speed boost on melee isn't a bug, it says it shouldn't in the patch notes.

If I don't receive a response in a few days, I'm going to add back what I wrote today. Hopefully there isn't any hard feelings. Also, I'm very new to wikipedia, so I'm not sure about the tooltip thing.

Thank you, Purplemana Purplemana (talk) 23:45, 22 August 2022 (UTC)

Hi there,
First off, there are no hard feelings. Do note that adding back without sufficient proof would mean it would be reverted again. As for the edits, feel free to revert the Sentry, Eureka Effect bug, and the Loose Cannon trivia. The tooltip thing was just a note to other editors that may be watching the Recent Changes feed, although I may change that myself tomorrow (if I remember).
As for the Jag, it's not valid trivia because it's essentially saying that the stats claim it would need to be removed with 4 hits and not 3, which would classify it as a bug. It's not a bug considering it's intentional behaviour (as indicated by the patch note).
For the Rescue Ranger and Jag bug, it's pretty hard to disprove either but I'd say if the original edits can be found and no source has been provided it's okay to remove (has been done previously).
The mention of the speedboost of the Eviction Notice is to point out that while it stacks with the speedboost of other items, it does not with the on-hit speedboost of the Eviction Notice despite stacking with the regular speedboost. This point should have been attached to the previous one (which I've done now). I'll reword it to make it clearer.

Weapon demonstration project

Interested in being a reviewer? I'm not active enough to keep up with them these days, and you've already proved to have quite the discerning eye when proactively reviewing others' demonstrations to make up for my inactiveness. — Wind 16:43, 30 August 2022 (UTC)

Yeah I'll review people's demos when needed.

Trivia about reusing sounds

Hey GrampaSwood. Do you have any more information about a rule prohibiting trivia reusing sounds? I only heard about it once from you 3 years ago, where you referenced this post from over 10 years ago. I'm asking because I noticed recently that Health contains trivia about reusing sounds, and was going to remove it, but didn't notice anything about reusing sounds on Help:Style guide/Trivia and haven't seen any discussion on trivia about reusing sounds except for that one post from over a decade ago. So if there is consensus about reusing trivia, perhaps I have missed it, if not, might it be worth having a discussion on the matter? Naleksuh (talk) 02:59, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

Also speaking of old stuff, just noticed the trivia I added 3 years ago is now on the Main Page. Well, better late than never XD Naleksuh (talk) 03:03, 2 September 2022 (UTC)
I suppose it sort of falls under XofY trivia, however, I just took a previous consensus and used that. I wouldn't be against adding it considering the Original's intro section contains a lot about remastered sounds.

Pepperbox

My edit specifically said the Shortstop resembled one. It obviously is not one. Thank you, I read all of that stuff you posted before I made the edit. Your edit summary also makes no sense to me. Honestly, I don't know how to argue against this because it is so obtuse. I'm quite happy to see the trivia left out (I don't care for trivia sections in most Wikis), but as it stood, it provided incomplete information, and what I added was at least as relevant as what was there already. Both bits are equally obvious. TF2 Ludicer (talk) 21:28, 21 September 2022 (UTC)

Your trivia essentially stated that "this item's type refers to the weapon resembling a pepperbox pistol" (if you take away the bit about what peppergun actually means). This is very obvious, because the item type is generally referring to the item itself and doesn't need to be stated. What "peppergun" means may not be known to everyone, because generally guns are not a topic most people know about.

Short Circuit Edit

Hey, I'm contacting you about the Short Circuit bug edit. You edited out for the reason that self damage by an explosion is an expected thing to happen, but the thing is that you only take damage from it if it specifically also damages an enemy player. If you shoot a short circuit energy orb on a wall and run into it when the explosion happens, you wont take any damage, that's why I still think it's a bug and not how it's supposed to work. Reilers (talk) 01:01, 24 September 2022 (UTC)

The bug should be that an exploding orb that doesn't hit an enemy won't do self-damage (remember to add proof when adding this bug).

The Box Trot Edit

Hey I wanted to tell you that I got proof for the bug you edited out in the Box Trot wiki. Sorry about the low quality, my pc is having a bad time lately

Quality looks fine, as long as it's visible what's happening it's good enough. I've reverted the edit.

Travel Agent Images

Also since I don't know if it's possible to remove images I uploaded myself, can you delete the 2 Travel Agent Renders I uploaded because the buttons on the handles are not the right texture ontop, I have fixed versions of both now

Thanks again. ThatGuyChens (talk) 12:41, 6 October 2022 (UTC)

You have to mark them for deletion using {{delete}}, however, uploading new versions of the images is better.
