Bugs
Moved this sentence into "Bugs" section.
- If a Dead Ringer Spy is hit with the Eyelander, the Demoman still receives a head even if the Spy fakes his death. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by SilverAura (talk) • (contribs) 08:42, 8 June 2011
- That doesn't make any sense though. Technically, the Spy is faking his death, thus the Eyelander would take a head to complete the trick. I don't think this should be classified as a bug. Triscuitable 20:13, 5 August 2011 (PDT)
Maximum overheal
Just pointing out that the maximum overheal obtainable isn't 315 hp. It is the limit of the health addition feature; below 315 hp the 15 hp are still added, therefore setting the max overheal at 329 (314+15). ...Okay, I'm really nitpicky.--Kid Of The Century 21:13, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
- While this is a useful fact, it would be lengthy to explain and is relatively rare. I propose it be left out of the article in favour of the 315 reference. Squidfeeder 00:17, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Eye Glow pics
A humble suggestion that may be useful for the page: may anyone make the pictures (or better a, 4 frame picture) of all the eye glow stages (from 1 to 4 head collected)? ----Kid Of The Century 15:18, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
- A quick update: I just tried to do it by myself on TR_Walkway, with r_drawviewmodel 0 and cl_drawhud 0, but unfortunately I don't know if there's any workaround to have a freecam to take good looking pics of the Demo's eye. The thirdperson command doesn't help much since the camera is quite far and sticked behind the character. Any suggestion? --Kid Of The Century 11:55, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. It'd be wonderful. I'd like to help, but I live in Italy and I'm afraid our timezones are quite different (4:15 pm here as I'm writing). Let me know if I can help anyway.--Kid Of The Century 14:16, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- Not needed now. The redone Eyelander weapon demonstration now shows the eye glow. Video should be uploaded soon. Or go to the Weapon Demonstration talk and click on eyelander. It's a good video :3 SpaceAnimator 03:54, 17 August 2011 (PDT)
Overheal or Max health
It's my belief that the health given by heads isn't technically overheal but simply an increase in max health. Overheal is classed as temporary health that decreases over time, whereas Eyelander health editions do not decay at all. I'm therefore of a mind to changing this article to purge use of any mention of overheal in the incorrect format.--Focusknock 09:28, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
Is this image acceptable?
[1] Just a random killcam I got a while ago. Is it good enough for an in-game eyeglow image (even if it has to be cropped)? Or are the killcam things on the right too much in the way? Toomai Glittershine 15:52, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- The image features the username of another player, as well as the fact that a better image could be achieved by using the Replay Editor. I would say no. Triscuitable 20:16, 5 August 2011 (PDT)
FOAD sign - Predicting the future!
I think not. If anything, the killing in the sign is coincidental. There's no way it could've had any links to the Eyelander. I mean come on, Meet the Sniper aired June 7th, 2008, where the Eyelander appeared nearly two years later. You mean to tell me Valve decided to look at the sign and think "Eyelander!". --Vaught 23:24, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
Censored Picture

Weapon Demonstration
Request this weapon demonstration be put on the list of demonstrations that must be redone. This weapon demonstration doesn't compare the move speed increase when heads are gathered. It also doesn't show the increase in damage done by the "Chargin' Targe"'s shield bash (although that might not be something for the eyelander demonstration).

Different Quote?
Shouldn't the quote be "There can only be one!"? Yaridovich23 20:25, 23 July 2011 (PDT)
- Thing is, that blurb was written specifically for the Eyelander, whereas "there can be only one" could be applied to any sword. Thus, I think the current quote is better. It's also a bit easier to understand at first glance for someone who doesn't know anything about the weapon (what is "only one"?) — Wind 20:28, 23 July 2011 (PDT)
- It's something from Braveheart I think. Yaridovich23 20:35, 23 July 2011 (PDT)

Braveheart Trivia
Look familiar? I added this to the Demoman reference page a while ago but it's only just occurred to me that it's not on this page - think it's worthy trivia? » Cooper Kid (blether·contreebs) 18:35, 21 August 2011 (PDT)
- It's not known if that's the specific sword Valve modeled it after, so it isn't trivia. Balladofwindfishes 19:02, 25 August 2011 (PDT)

- Would you say the same thing about the "Freedom!" voice line then? There's not a chance in Hell that isn't from Braveheart. I'd say this is trivia worthy, despite whether Valve directly says so or not. We have references they didn't flat out say that are just as obvious, the most notable being Balaclavas Are Forever. - Balaclavas are Forever's source is found in the name, just like the Eyelander itself being inspired from Highlander. The name itself provides enough proof that it's the inspiration. For this we have a similarlly themed sword, that looks the same as the Eyelander, and was probably inspired by it, but we just don't know for sure. Missing overheal table?
In the warrior's spirit article the max health is listed(wrong, it is mentioned in the text of the article no special table for it), AND also the overheal. In the eyelander article i miss an information about the overheal for the demoman with more and more base hp. Can someone explain that to me, because i don't know the HP for the demoman overhealed with 3heads. Hope someone can explain that to me. TheDoctor(without a small pic) 18:07, 23 October 2011 (PDT)
- 150+15 per head, all the way until 4. So about 195 for your answer. Fyahweather 18:17, 23 October 2011 (PDT)
- Not really, my question was how much he can be overhealed. Not his base hp with more heads. I want to know it because the spy and his conniver kunai can overheal him up to 300% of base health. So the demoman has a strict base of how much he can be overhealed or does this also rise?
- Heads ; Base ; Overhealed
- 0 ; 150 ; 225
- 1 ; 165 ; 247,5(?)
- 2 ; 180 ; 270
- 3 ; 195 ; 292,5(?)
- 4 ; 210 ; 315
- That is interesting for me, how does valve set the overheal for the demo for head 1 and 3. Hope it is more clear now. TheDoctor(without a small pic) 05:02, 24 October 2011 (PDT)
- Argh, i found it on the overheal article and i think this is weird, valve steals the demoman 2,5hp life points on the overheal on head 1 and 3. But it is not mentioned on the main article. Also there is no list of this on the article. Should i copy the table from the overheal article into the eyelander article??? I'm not a native english speaker, and not sure if this makes people angry. TheDoctor(without a small pic) 06:32, 24 October 2011 (PDT)
- Maximum overheal is always rounded down to the nearest 5, that's all. This is already mentioned on the Healing page. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 15:11, 14 December 2011 (PST)

Can a decapitation be considered as a strange headshot kill? - MLGM 16:27, 30 April 2012 (PDT)

demoknight
I have looked around and haven't seen a page for the demoknight. I would consider it a playing style of tf2. Perhaps it should be added.TubbyMonster 05:35, 3 May 2012 (PDT)
Head count
Is there normally a cap on maximum number of heads shown on the HUD? I don't remember regular gameplay, but in Mann vs. Machine, I was able to get 23 heads before dying (with health capping at 235). -Tabs 03:25, 1 September 2012 (PDT)

Old "After Decapitations" pic
The last picture on the page shows the old yellow eye effect after getting heads, rather than the current green one. Senator Lugia (talk) 18:03, 20 April 2014 (PDT)
- We need the picture ASAP. Though old and told, we require to show the difference of today's Eyelander effect from the last one. I know I don't have the required programs or so to upload such pictures. Someone else must do it. { <3 SpriteFan3 © } (talk) 04:06, 10 March 2015 (PDT)
Sentient trivia
On the trivia section is says the Eyelander is sentient, obviously because it talks in the Ring of Fired comic. However, in the WAR! comic, Pauling says the Eyelander is haunted. I think it would be best to replace "the Eyelander is shown to be fully sentient, and can speak in fluent English." with "the ghost that haunts the Eyelander is shown to be fully sentient, and can speak in fluent English." Bagel Mode (talk) 13:50, 21 December 2014 (PST)
- Good catch, and yes, I confirmed it, Ms. Pauling does say that. I made the edit just now. ⇒ Anyar (talk/contributions/giveaway) 18:38, 24 August 2017 (PDT)
Melee range graph
Can we get some solid stats on how many far in hammer units this item can swing? And the same for the other demo melees that have longer range, as well as the disc action and stock melees. DJLO (talk) 11:14, 10 July 2015 (PDT)
Toughbreak Sword Weapon Switch times
Did some testing ingame. Wrote a sourcemod plugin to force weapon switch as soon as I attack and held down +attack, and log the times

atk mel 26508.560546 > 0.960937
atk pri 26509.535156 > 0.97461

atk pri 26513.314453 > 0.929688
atk mel 26514.335937 > 1.021484
Given that sending a weapon switch command to the client from the server might lag, it's probably safe to assume swords have a 1.8x weapon switch time penalty or so.

Is Making Speed Gain With Heads a Template Necessary?
I was considering making one and putting it on all the translation pages, but I'm not sure if I should. If I were to I'd put Base Speed, Head Speeds, and Head Speeds + Booties. InfernalShroom :) 11:36, 25 February 2017 (PST)
- In fact, you should update it to use

, in the same way that I added{{Class health pack and overheal table}}

Is that really a bug?
The first bug in the section notes that Bazaar Bargain heads being leeched is a bug. But is that really a bug? And if it is, why isn't the Air Strike mentioned as well? ⇒ Anyar (talk/contributions/giveaway) 18:55, 21 April 2017 (PDT)
- Ok, so User:InfernalShroom removed the "bug". I support his decision and I've removed the bug from Bazaar Bargain, Nessie's Nine Iron, and Horseless Headless Horseman's Headtaker. If it turns it IS actually a bug for some reason, feel free to undo our edits. ⇒ Anyar (talk/contributions/giveaway) 18:31, 24 August 2017 (PDT)
Voice actor
As we all know, the Eyelander (and its variants/reskins) has a unique "Heeeaadds" sound when active. I tried to look all around the wiki, plus outside the wiki for any kind of information of who this voice actor is, but sadly couldn't find anything but another post of someone asking the same question.
I was thinking on doing a little digging myself and see where this can lead me, but before doing that, I was wondering- assuming the voice actor is found and it is someone outside the official voice actors hired by Valve; should we credit the voice actor in this article (including the Eyelander reskins), or perhaps add the person to the existing "official valve-hired voice actors"??
As always, I'm happy to hear your suggestions.
~Thanks xoxo Yossef • Talk 13:32, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
- The "heeeaaads" clips are listed in the Demoman responses, so I presume they were voiced by Gary Schwartz. - BrazilianNut (talk) 13:43, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
- I could not find a source that confirms that this is indeed from Gary, the very first version of that article already has the whispers, if there is a source of this, most likely was lost in the old TF2 Wiki. Moreover, the whispers comes from the sword itself and not from the Demoman, so having those lines listed there is incorrect, in my opinion. Yossef • Talk 14:04, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
- I think they're listed as Demoman responses because it's only Demoman who can use the swords that whisper, so it's easier to categorize them as voice clips related to Demoman -- and not necessarily because Gary Schwartz voiced them. The sword's whispers could still be Gary, though; I've heard his normal voice, and it sounds a little bit like the whispers, enough to not completely rule out the idea, anyway. If we do find out who it is, and they're not already one of the listed voice actors, I think they could be listed on the page, to answer the initial query. — 14:26, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
- Should be treated like any other voice actor. See Ap-Sap.
GrampaSwood (talk) 14:28, 19 January 2023 (UTC)- I'd like to say the following:
- This means that we could make a "Weapon responses/voice lines" article and list the voice lines there with their respective weapon. In this case, we can move the Eyelander voice lines over that article.
- Regarding the voice actor, assuming its not Gary, then it is safe to say that we can list the person in the table. And if the voice actor is indeed Gary, simply we credit his work for the Eyelander in his respective section of the table.
- Yossef • Talk 14:38, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
- I'd like to say the following:
- No need for a weapon responses article. There are 2 weapons with voice lines (Reskins are not separate weapons as they'd simply be listed as " + reskins") as far as I know, so it would essentially turn into Ap-Sap + the 25 Eyelander voicelines of the same "heads" phrase.
GrampaSwood (talk) 14:47, 19 January 2023 (UTC)

- I'd have to agree with Swood. I don't think we need a weapon responses page. Wheatley has one because they recorded way more than enough lines for the Ap-Sap to warrant one, and some of them are quite long. I don't think anything else "talks," unless you want to count the bread monster noises that all of the bread weapons make, but that's not really "talking," nor is it a response to an action -- you can't trigger the bread monsters to make a noise, the way your actions can trigger a response from the Eyelander spirits or the Ap-Sap.
- If anything, I'd be in favor of classifying the "heads" whispers as weapon sounds through that category, rather than character responses, but that's about it. — 14:59, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
