Milkman |
I've always loved the Scout, always felt drawn to the class. Since the release of the Polycount update, I've been tearing people to shreds with the Shortstop, it's slightly overpowered but after all the nerfing the Sandman got (I WANT STUNNING UBERS AND FULL STUNS BACK), I don't want them TOUCHING this thing. When not using the full Special Delivery set, I'll switch out the Mad Milk with Bonk! or my Lugermorph, and use my trusty Sandman. |
Soldier |
Rocket Launcher |
Shotgun |
Equalizer |
Stout Shako |
I don't play much Soldier. When I do though, the trusty Rocket Launcher and Shotgun do it for me. I will use the Tank Buster set to drop sentries though, it is very effective taking them out solo while ducking around corners. |
Pyro |
Degreaser |
Flare Gun |
Axtinguisher |
Triboniophorus Tyrannus |
I love playing Pyro because of all the different playstyles. This loadout is my average offense loadout. Degreaser is a no-brainer. It's better in every way than the Flamethrower. Trading off some afterburn damage for the ability to quickly drop heavy-medic combos by myself with the Axtinguisher? Yes please! Flare Gun with Degreaser is a good combo to handle Scouts. Light them, quickly pull it out and BAM! Minicrit. I'll use Homewrecker and Shotgun for defense, and switch out for Backburner and Powerjack on maps with a lot of flanking ability. |
Demoman |
Grenade launcher |
Scottish Resistance |
Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker |
Voodoo Juju |
I used to not play Demoman that much, but since I picked up the Scottish Resistance... oh boy. It's the bee's knees. Sticky traps, sticky traps everywhere. Nab some heads with the HHHH from some pesky spies over time, I'm running around at near-scout with sticky traps and pipebombs flying. |
Heavy |
Natascha |
Sandvich |
Fists |
Modest Pile of Hat |
I use Natascha to Jarate people people off because it is very annoying to be slowed down by it, and because I can get meatshotted to death by Scouts if I use Sasha (it even happened with a Medic healing me the whole time). I use the Fists most of the time because of the faster swing rate and the occasional taunt kill during Humiliation. As for the Sandvich, it always saves my or my Medic's ass like the Bonk! Atomic Punch does, but it also creates funny moments that I wouldn't want to give up on. For instance, try dropping a Sandvich in front of the enemy gate at setup time when an enemy Pyro is whacking the other side of the gate with his Homewrecker. Any normal Pyro will panic over voice chat, then gib herself. If she does not, she is a Spy, or you're not on a nice server. I wish I had an Ushanka. |
Engineer |
Frontier Justice |
Wrangler |
Southern Hospitality |
Texas Ten Gallon |
Hey look buddy, I'm an Engineer. That means that if there is a class I know how to play (I said "if"), then it's the Engineer. I currently use the Frontier Justice because I don't have all its related achievements yet, and the regular shotgun doesn't have any achievement. I think I will go back to the Shotgun once I get all these achievements and find a remodel on FPSBanana to make the regular shotgun look like the Frontier Justice, because it looks simply amazing. I use the Wrangler because the Pistol is pretty useless, while the Wrangler is invaluable. As for the Southern Hospitality, it looks cooler than the regular Wrench and helps against spies thanks to the bleeding effect. I switch to Gunslinger on fast-moving modes like Control Point, Payload Race, or A&D/Payload on offense. Also, I never got a hat for him, despite being my most played class I finally got a hat for him (and a pretty epic one at that). |
Medic |
Syringe Gun |
Medigun |
Ubersaw |
Otolaryngologist's Mirror |
I do not fight a lot as a Medic, because I do not have to (if you do, you're on a bad team or you are using the wrong class), thus I prefer the Syringe Gun's superior self-healing rate. The little fighting I do get to do is the occasional Spy backstab/facestab attempt, in which case the Ubersaw works quite well. As for the Medigun, I sometimes switch to Kritzkrieg when there already are regular Medigun Medics on the team. I use the Otolaryngologist's Mirror because it is the only Medic hat I have. I will use anything else whenever I get the possibility. |
Sniper |
Sniper Rifle |
Jarate |
Bushwacka |
Ritzy Rick's Hair Fixative |
I use the Huntsman as a Sniper because I simply handle it better, which is probably the result of arrows using projectile hitboxes. I use Jarate mostly for the lolz factor and because it is very useful against Spies. As for the Tribalman's Shiv, I haven't found it to be as powerful as the Kukri since the bleeding effect does not stack. I am still using it, however, because it also helps revealing cloaked Spies and because it is very rewarding to taunt with it while the bleeding victim is still alive, knowing that it will die before it can kill you. I use Ritzy Rick's Hair Fixative because it is the only Sniper hat I have, but also because it makes my silhouette a very little bit tinier, attracting a little less attention during Sniper duels. Or maybe that's just an excuse. |
Spy |
Ambassador |
Cloak and Dagger |
Knife |
Backbiter's billycock |
I am a sapping Spy, not a backstabbing Spy. As such, I use the Ambassador for the headshots, which are actually quite easy if you take the habit of having your aim at head level. It is also useful for taking out Engineers from a distance. As for the watch, I prefer the Cloak and Dagger because I can take all the time I want before striking (which helps a lot to take out Sentries, which I what I mainly use the Spy for), but I often switch to Dead Ringer when the enemy team has no Sentries or when I'm feeling daring. I use the Billycock because it is the only hat I have, though I find it quite classy. Not as classy as the Fedora, though. |
