Haunted Metal Scrap
Revision as of 22:06, 7 November 2010 by MSG Accent BABY (talk | contribs)
Template:Tool infobox Haunted Metal Scrap is obtainable in-game (but only with the Unusual rarity) as part of the Scream Fortress Update. To obtain this item, you must land at least one of the killing blows on the Horseless Headless Horsemann with a melee weapon, and remain alive during his death. Only a single Unusual Haunted Metal Scrap is obtainable per indivdual account, due to it being linked to an achievement (Gored!). The metal is not tradable, unless Gift Wrapped and then sent to another player. The Unusual Haunted Metal Scrap can be used to craft the Unusual Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker or one of two Halloween hats released in the Scream Fortress Update.

Trivia
- The exact thing to do to get "Gored!" achievement is to hit Horseless Headless Horsemann with the melee weapon close to his death, if you get credit for defeating the Horseless Headless Horsemann with a melee weapon you will get "Gored!"
- You can still obtain the "Gored!" achievement if you melee the Horseless Headless Horsemann and are killed in the process.
- Some Unusual Haunted Metal Scraps found in the first few days were tradable, possibly as the result of a bug.
- These recipes will still be active after the Halloween event has ended. The "Gored!" achievement, however, will be disabled.
- Since the Unusual Haunted Metal Scrap is tied to the Gored! achievement, it will no longer be attainable after the Scream Fortress event.
- There was once a rumored recipe that would let those that crafted the Unusual Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker recraft the axe and 2 additional refined metal to craft one of the 2010 Halloween Hats (Spine-Chilling Skull or Voodoo Juju). Such a recipe doesn'y exist.
