Talk:Birthday mode

Should I add this as trivia?
It is possible to kill another player by propelling the beach ball towards someone at a fast enough rate, regardless of whether the player is on your team or not. When a player is killed through this method, it will appear as if that player committed suicide. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Biz (talk) • contribs)

- Err...how do I do that?
- Yeah, I put the 4 tildes down, and they always look fine during preview - but later, they're always messed up. Also, I loves skinning. :D ~biz 06:02, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
Video
Does the Youtube video really need to be there? I don't think it belongs here. It doesn't really show the sillygibs, it's kinda unprofessional, and it's just some random guy playing a melee only map. - LingoSalad(talk) 18:19, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
I'm inclined to agree; while I'm not opposed to there being a video on there showing what Birthday Mode is like, I don't think that the video posted is the best example. Can anyone else find a better video? ButteredToast 18:20, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
New Pics
I was reading through the article and I think pictures of the health and ammo kits would be good. Anyone up for it?

Possible Trivia Note
I may need to test this some more, but on at least some maps containing trains it is possible to use the ball to stop the train for a few seconds, I may need to test it some more.--Karonen 18:34, 24 August 2011 (PDT)
"Cake Model" Trivia
Is the cake model actually the same model from portal? It has a slice cut out from it, which is not a feature of the portal model... It may be edited from the portal model, but it's not just a retexture. Piogre 06:21, 26 August 2011 (PDT)
Looking at it now in HLMV and it may be based on the Portal cake, but the model is definitely not the same. I'm going to cut that point for now.Piogre 06:26, 26 August 2011 (PDT)
Dammit
Kinda pissed that my computer was away getting repaired while this happened. I missed out on the Party Hat and Noise Maker -- ScoutKast 17:21, 15 September 2011 (PDT)
- This isn't quite the recommended place for general chat (Try the Steam Fora instead.) Try and keep talk pages referring to information based on the article. - nixshadow (t|c) 17:28, 15 September 2011 (PDT)
Confused about my edit being undone
I thought it seemed interesting that the health/ammo packs looked the same in birthday mode and pyrovision, why was it undone? I'm really new to this wiki and I don't understand what I did wrong here. Xenohaz 12:17, 18 February 2013 (PST)
- You should post on the talk page of the person who undid the edit, not here. Darkid (|) 13:09, 18 February 2013 (PST)
birthday 2013
I don't know if this is allowed on here, since im new to the wiki, but it is now almost 8 pm in Bellevue, Washington where I know the valve headquarters is located, yet no birthday mode, party hats or tf birthday noise makers have been released yet, and today IS the 24th of august
anyone know what is going on? no birthday mode this year? valve just being slow? - Smithy the blacksmith
- Who knows really. Its valve's decision to launch/activate it or not. So if it's not active. Then valve isn't doing it this year. Ashes (talk) 19:59, 24 August 2013 (PDT)
- Are they doing it for 2014? 'Cause that would be right about now. Anyways, happy 18th, Team Fortress! -- Heeeeyyyy, everybody! It's Meester Tweester! 10:09, 24 August 2014 (PDT)
what a let down... I just think they forgot however, as why would they just do birthday mode for 2 years - Smithy The Blacksmith
