Southern Hospitality in chart
In the weapons chart, it notes correctly that the Southern Hospitality does not crit. But in the damage given, it still has crit as 195 damage. Remove that?{{SUBST:User:Cranberry Jerk/Sig}} 11:06, 19 July 2011 (PDT)
- It can still be forced to crit, i.e. by the Buff Banner or the Kritzkreig. » Cooper Kid (Blether · Contreebs) 16:12, 19 July 2011 (PDT)

3rd life sustaining system built for the Announcer?
It sort-of makes sense. If you assume that Emily the Maidservant is the announcer, Saxton Hale needs no such life support, and Blutarch and Redmond also have devices, then it would make sense that the Announcer is using life support. Either that, or the Engi built a time machine, and is keeping Zephaniah alive. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Michael (talk) • contribs)
- It has since been proven that the third Mann brother, Gray, has the third life extender machine. Nice theory though. TheIgnorantMedic 02:29, 23 December 2012 (PST)
- I wouldn't say its been proven. Anyway, please don't respond to thousand-year old speculation that really belongs here. There's no need. Thanks. --SilverHammer 02:34, 23 December 2012 (PST)

Ability to move buildings?
This was hidden somewhere on the update page. Significant? -- MistahFixIt 03:56, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- Very significant, but still speculation at this point. Do not publish it on any article yet — WindPower 04:30, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Basic Strategy
Fix it. It's full of crap. Only supposed to be the actual tips in-game there. All strategy in the Engineer strategy page. -- Smashman... (t • s) 11:28, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
48 dps mini-sentry
48 seems to be the determined dps, rather than 32. Should be changed? Also, why is it 100-125 hp?
- What? Fire rate is the same as a level 1, just with halved damage. Why isn't it 32 DPS? </totalconfusion> -The Neotank ( | Talk) 16:04, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
Golden Wrench has wrong icon
The Golden Wrench icon is the same as the default wrench. I have no idea how to change it, I'm just pointing it out.

"Most unlockable weapons in the game"
er... how exactly is this calculated?
The Engineer has: Lugermorph, Golden Wrench, Frontier Justice, Wrangler, and Gunslinger. Of these, only four are common.
The Demoman has: Scottish Resistance, Chargin' Targe, Eyelander, Pain Train, and Scotman's Skullcutter.
Of all the above, neither the Wrangler or Chargin' Targe are strictly weapons... but even if we're counting them, only the Chargin' Targe directly does damage.
If you're counting the Combat Mini-Sentry separately... why? It's counted as a normal sentry gun by the game's internal stats and logging.
--Powerlord 22:02, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
- You forgot the Southern Hospitality~ — Wind 22:03, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
- Sadly, I didn't remember that until afterwords, but you'd already replied before I got back here to remove that. --Powerlord 22:09, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, all 4 sentries; Mini, and levels 1, 2 and 3; are counted separately by the internal logging. From memory, I beleive they are obj_minisentry, obj_sentry, obj_sentry2 and obj_sentry3. TheIgnorantMedic 02:33, 23 December 2012 (PST)
Curiouser and Curiouser
Fellow wiki-patrollers, lend me your ears. What do you know about an enigmatic weapon lurking in the .gcf files, known only as 'The JAG'? The only thing I can tell you is all the textures and models are accounted for, and that it looks like a 1950's gear-puller, as opposed to a wrench. -- MistahFixIt 16:55, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- We know this. -RJ 16:59, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- Durp. TF2 Wiki's search engine must hate me, cuz I didn't get a single hit looking for it. Also, I doubt its in a Supply Crate, since a) it doesn't show up on the supply crate manifest, and b) it's not on the items_game.txt at all. -- MistahFixIt 17:03, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Capitalization of "building"
Minor point. Sometimes, especially when linking to the page on buildings, the word is capitalized. Sometimes it is not. Seems to me it should not be capitalized. I was going to start changing them but I thought maybe I should say something about it first.
Melee weapon special abilities - really necessary?
Every single melee weapon of the Engineer has the ability to build, upgrade and repair buildings and remove Sappers. Do we really have to mention that again for every single weapon? I think it should be just mentioned once for all weapons. After all, the point of these tables is to demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of different weapons, but all the engineer's weapons can do these things equally well, so there's no advantage or disadvante here. It just clutters up the table. Zoon-li 01:55, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well, since no one has disagreed with this in over 3 months I guess I'll just go ahead and edit the section. Zoon-li 19:15, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Item Set
I was going to add the fact that the engineer is the only class without an item set after either the Mann-Co. Store and Australian Christmas updates but was unsure as to where in the page to add it. Anyone care to advise? Priorax 00:52, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Bugs
Is the bug section really necessary? it's obvious the gloves are orange, so why is it a bug? Seems to me like an excuse to have bugs section in the article. Mpnov 13:19, 5 February 2012 (PST)
- His gloves should be the same colour as his helmet - orange on RED, yellow on BLU. They always appear orange in first-person view. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 16:24, 5 February 2012 (PST)
Pomson electrical?
It says the pomson fires electrical projectiles, but I do not think that is true. The item is a 'particle smasher' and it 'irradiates', according to the item description in-game. It probably fires alpha or bèta rays. (radiation produced by certain radioactive isotopes, consisting of praticles rather than electromagnetic waves) I would have corrected it right away if I knew a better description myself... Any suggestions? I was thinking of particle beams, particle blasts, plasma, laser beams, energy beams, energy rays etc. K-Raider NL 03:51, 27 June 2012 (PDT)
Rewording Gallery Descriptions
I've decided to make a few minor edits to the wordings of a few gallery images. The wording of the description for the TFC Engineer image seemed a bit odd to me so I made it sound a bit simpler. Let me know if it could be improved upon further.

Primary Weapons Table Mistake
In the Primary Weapons Table, it lists the Rescue Ranger as an "Uncrate" when it should be labelled "Craft". I tried fixing it but I can't seem to get it to change.
Engineers needs more PDAs
The Engineer has a simple construction PDA, capable of building a sentry, a dispenser, a teleporter entrance, and a teleporter exit. This, although versatile, does become tedious after a while, and other classes (in particular Demoman/Demoknight) have many more functions.
Therefore, I propose this: new PDAs.
I have come up with three ideas:
Offense PDA
1. Sentry
2. Wrangler Controlled Sentry Buster
3. Mine
4. Mine
Doc Holiday PDA
1. Quick-Building Dispenser
2. Long-Range Dispenser
3. Teleporter Entrance
4. Teleporter Exit
Mobility PDA
1. Wrangler Controlled Mobile Sentry
2. Cannon (transports allies and disguised Spies forcefully over walls)
3. Two-way Teleporter "Entrance"
4. Two-way Teleporter "Exit"
I think these additions would improve the importance of the Engineer during games such as Arena and Medieval mode, and add a new dimension to the game.

New Voice?
Has anyone else heard the new voice responses from the manhattan update? they dont sound like Engie at all. is this a new voice actor? or is it just a filler untill we get the real ones?
The killstreak reveal ones you can hear it the most

- I see where you're coming from. I've heard differences with the Heavy's responses, too; especially after getting an upgrade at the Upgrade Station. Maybe it's just the voice actors getting older? -- ICantThinkOfName (WHAT HAVE I SAID?!) (WHAT HAVE I DONE?!) 23:37, 28 November 2013 (PST)
New weapon idea?
What if the engineer had a mace as a melee that allowed you to do extreme knockback to your target and 90 damage per hit and did an additional 20 damage once the target hits a wall but at the cost of a 30% slower swing speed, so that means you could either fling a blu scout up to the top of the map, and kill them via fall damage, or you could make a meteor out of a rocket jumping soldier and get a kill from fall damage. Not to mention you could use the secondary fire button to use an attack that allowed you to make an extremely high jump (about the height of the highest rocket jump with a single rocket) and while falling you attack automatically for triggering a view animation that shows the engineer holding the mace with both hands at a slightly downward angle, but when you actually fall within melee range to hit an enemy player, you automatically do a critical hit to them which would be the stereotypical 195 damage, either that or you could just give the weapon the 30% higher jump height (or what ever percent is enough to jump completely over a player) as an attribute for it, But the main gimmick for this weapon is that you cannot upgrade or move buildings, so it would make another offensive tool for the engineer, the main question is "Do you think this will work?". — The preceding unsigned comment was added by DPSmasta (talk) • (contribs)
- This page is NOT for speculating any "weapon ideas" this discussion page is meant for the content of the page itself. This sort of topic would belong the Steam forums, (Even though it would just get shot down), It doesn't belong here. Thanks. Ashes (talk) 18:43, 10 January 2014 (PST)
Favorite Equation
It's really more of an expression or a formula, not so much an equation. Fuzzeh! (talk) 18:11, 6 August 2014 (PDT)
- It is more properly described as an expression, or lighting term actually; but in the white paper, Valve labels such expressions as Equation # (maybe an artifact of their word processor styles or corporate style guide), so an easy mistake at worst. Mikado282 (talk) 18:01, 9 August 2014 (PDT)
