Broken quote audio?

Okay, I'm on my phone and clicked the quote at the top of the page to listen to the voice line, and I only heard "hey listen-" The audio player says the clip was 0:00 - 0:00. Either it's my phone or it's the page. Idk. Please tell me what it is.

It's an issue with the cache on your end, to refresh cache you can add "?action=purge" after a page's URL then refresh the cache.

Tekniker vs. Ingenjör

The topic I made on the Swedish discussion page seems to have disappeared somehow, so I'll try making a new topic here instead: The Swedish page's update history claims that the translation for this class's name was changed from "Tekniker" to "Ingenjör" all the way back in 2012, but I haven't seen that reflected on any of the other Swedish pages. Could someone who actually plays the game and is more senior than me 1) verify and 2) give their opinion on whether I should continue translating it as "Tekniker" on my ongoing quest to get the Swedish pages up to date or if I should start changing the translation to "Ingenjör" as I come across it?

The issue with that is that it assumes that I actually own the game and am coding-savvy enough to know where to actually find that file, which is a no on both accounts. I don't actually play the game, shooters aren't for me, I'm just here because I enjoy the lore. Hence the "someone who actually plays the game" part. Sotnosen93 (talk) 08:40, 28 January 2024 (UTC)

I recommend downloading the game for that file, it's quite necessary when translating as certain in-game terms are translated there and should be consisted between the Wiki and the game. A version exists on the Wiki, but may not always be up to date.

Duplicate BLU option

The Engineer's team colour buttons for the 3D image states "BLU" for both RED and BLU. As far as I know, there's only one BLU team, unless Valve pulled a fast one on us. ♡ JupiterSphere ♡ ( ◡‿◡ *) ⊱✿⊰ Talk To Me! ⊱✿⊰ 17:12, 20 September 2024 (UTC)

Favourite Equation

Where did it come from, because it doesn't align with what appears in the paper?

First, the spec and rim should be subscripts of the k powers. As in k_{spec} and k_{rim}, in TeX.

Second, in the paper it has an additional term after the sum over i (outside the square brackets), where there is +(n̂•û) fᵣ kᵣ a(vˆ)

I can't get a proper circumflex over the v, but it's meant to be the same as the other two.

Where did it say it was his favourite equation, and how did they have it formatted there?
