Poker Night at the Inventory Items
“ | Beat me once, shame on me. Beat me twice, also shame on me. Beat me three times...I am sent to my death.
— The Heavy upon losing all his chips

On November 3rd, 2010, it was revealed that Telltale's new game, Poker Night at the Inventory (featuring the Heavy and several other characters from both Telltale and Penny Arcade) will unlock several different items for Team Fortress 2. The first of these, a special Dealer's Visor hat for the Heavy, is awarded to the player simply for pre-ordering.
At other points during the game, special rounds will activate and allow players to obtain other Team Fortress 2 items, including:
- The Enthusiast's Timepiece, a wrist watch for the Spy (owned by Tycho)
- Dangeresque, Too?, a pair of sunglasses for the Demoman (owned by Strong Bad)
- License to Maim, a Freelance Police Badge for all classes (owned by Max)
- The Iron Curtain, a Minigun replacement for the Heavy (owned by the Heavy, naturally)
- The Lugermorph, a Pistol replacement that was previously only available to individuals who preordered "Sam & Max Season 3: The Devil's Playhouse" on Steam.
It is unknown whether or not these items will have special attributes, though it is likely that they will follow suit with previous promotional weapons and be simply cosmetic.
As of November 15th, there has been no confirmed specific release date for the game, although according to developers, the game will be released sometime in November of 2010.
Mapper's Medallion
The Mapper's Medallion is a special medal created by Lord Ned of TF2maps.net in order to congratulate the participants of the Art Pass contest. This medal is similar to the Polycount Pin as it will only be available to those who entered the competition. The Mapper's Medallion does not currently have a release date.
6th Polycount Pack and Unreleased Game Mode
Shortly after the release of the Polycount Pack, Valve announced that a sixth Pack (since revealed to belong to the Medic)[1] and a brand-new game mode were lined up to be released with the Polycount Pack, however they were both delayed due to the game mode being unfinished and the Pack having a direct correlation to the new game mode.[2]
ETF2L Highlander Community Challenge, ESL 6on6 League and ozfortress Ultiduo5 Medals
Nine medals are to be added to the game and given to participants and winners of the ETF2L Highlander Community Challenge, ESL 6on6 League and the ozfortress Ultiduo5 when the tournaments end. Currently, it has been confirmed that there are a first place, second place, third place, and participant medal that will become available for the first two tournaments, however, only a first place medal (deisgned by Valve) will be issued to winners of Ultiduo5.
New demo format
Robin Walker has discussed a new system for recording demos, where a player can request a recording from the server at the end of a life or round. The plan is for the format to be "More robust" so the demos will not become unplayable as easily as the current system when the game is updated.[3] Another goal is to allow people to easily share their videos on video sharing sites.[4]
Open Beta
An Open Beta is coming soon to all Team Fortress 2 owners.
Unreleased Items
In the Mann-Conomy Update the Engineer was the only class to not get a weapon, but a fully textured model was discovered in the GCF of the game. The Item is believed to be called the Jag from the name the file is given in the GCF. A community-contributed hat, known as the Legionaire's Lid according to the tf_english.txt file, is also in the GCF. It even has a description. The hat is currently not in-game, and it is unknown if it will be released.
Large Scale Performance Update
Robin Walker discussed with one of the community contributors in an email about a future performance update in the works, replacing all World and View models with the new C model type, and updating existing C models and the new C models with LODs. This update will significantly increase performance and allow for a greater range of community and Valve item replacements in later updates.

Unreleased Meet the Team videos
There are two unreleased Meet the Team videos expected for release, Meet the Pyro and Meet the Medic. As revealed in an interview with Robin Walker by the podcast Kritzkast, Meet the Pyro will be a look at the world through the Pyro's eyes. In another interview with Robin Walker, he mentioned that there will be three more videos, one of which is unknown.

- Main article: Source Filmmaker
Source Filmmaker is the name of the tool used to create the Meet the Team videos, the Left 4 Dead intro movies, and other Valve-produced clips. It has not yet been officially released, though it was leaked.
Others polycount contest entries
Valve selected five entries from the Polycount Contest out of a total of 76. Robin Walker has stated that nearly half of the entires were of high enough quality to be put ingame.[5] All of the entries can be located here.
Contribution Site Gallery
Valve stated they would release a way to view all user submitted content before they were implemented into the game (or not)[citation needed]. It is unknown when this feature will be available. A Gallery for Avatars only has since been released. However a gallery for hats and weapons has yet to be made.
