용접 마스크 는 엔지니어를 위해 커뮤니티에서 만든 모자입니다. 이 모자는 회색 Template:W 전면에 팀별 색의 화재 무늬를 가지고 있는 용접 마스크의 형태로 나타납니다.
이 모자의 설명은 Shapechanger에 의해 쓰여졌습니다.
상식
- The name and fiery flame design is a reference to American cars with large engines, which are also called hot rods, which often sport a fiery paintjob.[1]
- The Hotrod flips down over the Engineer's face when he is holding a building's blueprints or hauling a building, currently making it the only hat to possess its own unique animation.
- 하나 더 이야기 하자면, 스파이는 용접 마스크를 쓴 엔지니어로 변장한 뒤 전자 공병을 들고 있을때, 용접 마스크가 내려가 있습니다. 이걸 활용해서 스파이를 잡아낼 수 있습다.
- 엔지니어는 그의 고글을 낀 상태로 용접 마스크를 착용합니다. 사실, 연기를 쬔 용접 보닛과 그의 고글은 정상적으로 보는걸 불가능하게 만듭니다. 이것은 그가 평상시 용접 마스크를 올려 쓰는 이유입니다.
- "Hot Rod(용접 마스크)"는 엔지니어의 성우 Grant Goodeve가 캐스팅된 영화 1979 movie의 제목이기도 합니다.
- It is interesting to note that the late Template:W, the voice of Dr. Breen from Half-Life 2, also co-starred in this film.
- The Engineer is seen using a welding mask in the teaser video for the Engineer update, though it is not the Hotrod. The Hotrod, however, can be seen sticking out of a tool chest at the very beginning of the video, above the Engineer's acoustic guitar.
