"All classes have varying height, with the Engineer being the shortest and the Heavy being the tallest class." Isnt the Sniper slightly taller than the Heavy? --Picard 20:51, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

  • Normaly yes, because the heavy slouches. When the heavy stands up straight he is the tallest.--Piemanmoo 21:08, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
  • It looks like the Heavy is bigger, but if they're both standing up straight, the Sniper is taller. ISmile03 15:57, 5 July 2012 (PDT)

Size

I know all that other stuff you added is true, but is that stuff about the Huntsman true? That would explain a lot --Firestorm 03:38, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

I'm not entirely sure, but based on the fact it uses the projectile hitbox makes me believe it can't know where the head's bullet hitbox is. I'm guessing it calculates headshots something like "if you hit anywhere in the top sixth of the hitbox then arrow in face", where "top sixth" would be some sort of coded measurement thought to be a good average. I would suggest someone test this. Toomai Glittershine 03:45, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
That would explain a lot indeed. I noticed using the Ambassador, I have to aim in odd spots to obtain a headshot. E.G., I have to aim for the soldier's neck. -- Flying Pyro 20:06, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Beta Health

With all the class pages, do you think we should add a "Beta Health" In the health section of a class' page? I mean, now with the double health in the beta... Mentlegen 02:01, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

We could, but do we know how long the double health is going to last? The Man with No Name 02:03, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
This isn't necessary. All Beta talk is kept out of all the other articles, everything related to the Beta stays on the Beta article. User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 02:06, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Class pages melee chart

Can we just take out the "ammo loaded" and "ammo carried" parts of the melee weapons table under the individual classes? Since everything says N/A, I figure it would help clean out unnecessary space. If we had to, we could also separate the melee part from the taunt part. BASEBALLFURIES 19:18, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

What about the Sandman ? NoWhereMan(DSvY) "Ich machen liebe Lannnnng" 19:22, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Hmmm. Point taken. Perhaps an exception could be made for Scout. However, I would also mention that when the ball is launched, running over an ammo crate does not replenish it. Maybe some other wording?

Disciplinary Action speed boost

Should we add Disciplinary Action speed boosts this to the speed table? and what about the quick fix? Also Does a Whipped GRU Heavy Run as fast a Scout? Nutter 11:11, 11 July 2011 (PDT)

Combination with Ali Baba's Wee Booties with swords

Should we add these in the health chart? -- Denmax (talk|contributions|sandbox) Item icon Soldier's Stash.png 08:25, 18 July 2011 (PDT)

Yes, it's a possible health number that Demoman can have, so why not? Balladofwindfishes 08:54, 18 July 2011 (PDT)
On that, right now there's a breakdown for Eyelander-equivalent per head without the Booties. Should there be a similar breakdown for equipped Eyelander-equivalent per head coupled with the Booties? I am leaning towards yes, due to the prevalence of demoknighting. ==FaxCelestis 11:24, 16 August 2011 (PDT)

The opening section of this article

I think the class links at the top of the page need to be removed, considering they're repeated about 6 lines south. Maybe add a small section at the bottom about the civilian, though. --SilverHammer 21:51, 2 August 2011 (PDT)

(Sniper Rifle, Sydney Sleeper, Bazaar Bargain, or Machina zoomed and Cozy Camper)

Is that truly accurate with 4.8? That seems like 6% total (94% loss) instead of 60% off (40% loss)...-Firekip 10:52, 16 March 2012 (PDT)

Headless Horseman's speed under water?

I just added a column for speeds underwater(.8 of forward move speed) and added N/A for the Horseman since Mann Manor has no water but custom servers can spawn this bot in other maps and so I'm not sure weather he'll be affected by water or not. DAn 18:28, 24 June 2012 (PDT)

Character Appearances?

In the character pages, we should talk about what they look like. Just a simple idea. Anyone agree? ISmile03 05:42, 5 July 2012 (PDT)

Real world speed question

What is the ratio being used to convert HU/s to MPH. I looked at the Valve Developer Network and they have speed conversions listed for Half Life 2, but they also say everything in TF2 is 'bigger'. --Org 01:05, 6 July 2012 (PDT)

Speed Question: Brass Camper

I know this technically isn't possible unless it was on a modded server, but how slow would a Heavy be if he was using the Brass Beast with the Cozy Campter equipped? This is also implying if the Cozy Campter is activated when "Alt-fire" is being used.--Uknownada 17:26, 23 August 2012 (PDT)

I have no idea. The speed rules for TF2 have so many edge cases it made getting this data a pain. However if you want to find out join a modded server, and put in cl_showpos 1 into the console. The third line will be your speed. Divide that by 300 to get the percentage. --Org 19:40, 23 August 2012 (PDT)
Well, I got lucky enough to get that layout on a Randomizer server, although I was Demoman. The Cozy Camper's speed change only affects when you're using a Sniper weapon, so my theory will remain unproven.
But now here's a new one: Which is slower, a Heavy with a Baby Face Blaster at 0%, a Heavy with Brass Beast wound up, or a Heavy with a Sniper Rifle and Cazy Camper? And how slow would it be if, say, he had the Scottman's Skullcutter?--Uknownada 21:04, 8 September 2012 (PDT)
Well, not that any of you care, I just got lucky enough to get the Cozy Camper with a Cow Mangler as Sniper. The slowness applied, which means the Cozy Camper was programmed to work only with the Sniper (except the health regeneration). Interestingly useless knowledge.--Uknownada 23:36, 18 September 2012 (PDT)

Regarding the Quick-Fix

The Quick Fix as a medic will immediately give you the run speed of any faster class, if they're going faster than you are. That includes (that I KNOW FOR SURE): Demoman: with heads and charging. Scout: With BFB, Crit-A-Cola blaster, etc. Pyro: Powerjack. Medic: Overdose + any Ubercharge level. Soldier: Disciplinary Action (Plus anyone it applies to). It's mentioned that you do run faster while healing anyone faster than you in the blurb above the speed table, but down in the list it simply shows 'Healing a scout' maybe it should just say 'Healing faster target: see that speed' something along those lines? Missing Details: Speed Table

The Spy's section of Speed Table has missing details, including "Disguised as Pyro", "Disguised as Engineer", and "Disguised as Spy".

We don't note it because those classes have the same speed as Spy. User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 05:48, 21 February 2015 (PST)

We're also missing the Bootie's new speed boost and combinations thereof. Guybrush20X6 (talk) 16:56, 18 September 2015 (PDT)

speed units

The speed is given in percentage, hu/s and mi/h, then why is it not given in km/h? PouLS (talk) 20:31, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
