"Player" edits in Bugs section

Hi there,

It's not necessary to replace every instance of "user" or a class with "player", this is not part of any style guide and sometimes reading "the Pyro" or "the user" fits better.

In some instances I did leave it alone, such as on the Back Scratcher as it does have another classes's weapon mentioned, but I don't think the player should be mentioned as the class unless it's a multi-class weapon or there is other classes mentioned, since the ones that are being edited are single-class weapons and no other class is mentioned, so the player is going to be that class, which is obvious?

If it's still not needed though that's totally fine, I'll refrain from going through more of them if that is the case, just think it would be more consistent across the weapons. MrJohnson (talk) 21:33, 28 August 2024 (UTC)

As long as the wording is clear, any of them work. Similarly to strategy pages, sometimes we use the class' name because it reads nicer or it's just more ""immersive"" (big quotes because it's not really immersive) to read that a Pyro is doing something rather than a "player". It can also clear up confusion (e.g. "if a Pyro does X other players will see Y" rather than "if the player does X other players will see Y").

I guess I can understand that, even if I don't agree with it. I'll try to refrain from doing it next time unless one of them is potentially confusing in it's current form. MrJohnson (talk) 21:47, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
