For many of TF2 Class characters, their item sets do include references to the Imperial pasts of each of their ethnicities.

•  Heavy : Russian Empire / Soviet Empire
•  Medic : Germain Empire / Nazi Germany
•  Sniper : United Kingdom
•  Spy : French Empire (How come there is no French Foreign Legion item set?!?!?!)
•  Pyro : Spanish Empire / Mexican Empire (only class actually from the Badlands)
•  Demoman : Black Scots originate from Scotland being the center of the Slave Trade Triangle.
•  Scout : New England Nation, de facto capitol was Boston / Global Trade Empire / NE Abolitionists colonized the Plains Indians starting in Kansas in the 1850s.
•  Soldier : Post-WWII global U.S. hegemony
•  Engineer : Dixie colonizing the Mexican Empire and Southern Indians.

Missing?

• Japanese Empire?
• China? No. China was subject to all of the above empires under Unequal_treaties ... until Belt and Roads.
