Think you're good at making TF2 items and avatars? Better even than the people who design the game? Here's the thing: you're probably right. And believe us, this knowledge haunts us every day. Gabe Newell's just an email away, after all. What if you ratted us out?

O TF2 Official Contribution Site foi feito para colocar a criatividade dos jogadores em acção no jogo Team Fortress 2. Isso não siguinifica que o jogador possa escolher os efeitos ou estatisticas de seu trabalho. Todos os itens mandados são revisados com padrões de qualdiade e consistencia, e só são adicionadso á equipe do Team Fortress 2 se não causar nenhum desequilibrio no jogo. Avatares nessecitam ser sinalizados como não sendo relacionados ao Team Fortress 2 pela comunidade. Contribuiçôes aceitas são Avatares do Steam, modelos de armas e Chapéus.

Regras de Submissão

Para manter o visual artistico do jogo, a equipe do Team Fortress 2 estabeleceu algumas regras de submissão. Todas as regras precisam estar em mente para mandar saus contribuições:

  • Theme
    • Estilo dos anos 50
    • Manter as caracteristicas do jogador e sua biográfia
  • Tecnicas de Modelagem
    • Modelso realistas mas com um estilo de desenho
    • Detalhes deve ter escalas proporcionais
    • Deixe os modelos simples
  • Tecnicas de textura
    • Mantenha a qualidade de textura, nada com textura melhor ou pior no que está perto
    • Hats precisam ter cores especificas ao time e cores base
    • Textures should be simple and not a distraction.
  • Technicals
    • Hat models under 800 polygons
    • Weapon models under 8000 polygons
    • Textures no larger than 512x512 pixels, 256x256 being preferred
    • Steam avatars must be 184x184 pixels and saved in .JPG format
    • Source files must be included for models and materials.
    • Thumbnails and in-game images must be 256x256 pixels.
