Translation Request
I can possibly translate this page into russian. Can I have permission? Or do I just do it without asking?Sandvich Heavinski 02:28, 10 November 2010 (UTC) Oops, did'nt realize there was already a russian one. I'll do Slovak then. :DSandvich Heavinski 02:28, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
Achievement change(s)
I've noticed recently that the "duty bound" achievement for Soldier was changed from killing an opponent before you land to killing an opponent before you land or shortly after. Not sure if that is the only change, but I think it is worth looking into to see if other achievements may have been changed. Stripedy 22:33, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
I'm not sure where to put this, but I believe it would be important to tell. So I was 6000 damage points away from achieving "Tartan Spartan" (1000000 points of blast damage as Demoman) when I decided to reset my stats. To my chagrin, I lost all progress towards that achievement as well as my stats. A warning should be put somewhere...

- What did you expect to happen though? Moussekateer 08:57, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- I expected my stats to be reset, not my achievement progress. InShane, 19 November 2010
- that can be misleading i agree i did it once at the start of the year i had made loads of progress on the pyromaniac one) it reset that and also the status
- I expected my stats to be reset, not my achievement progress. InShane, 19 November 2010
Leaderboard Icons
What do you think about adding leaderboard class icons next to classes' sections? Like this:
Scout
Scout pack
35 achievements, 3 Milestones.
Obtaining Scout achievements
IMO it doesn't clutter the page and offers a quicker reference. --Kid Of The Century 10:50, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- I think that's a great idea, I don't see a problem with it. Guy 21:02, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
- Whoops, THIS suggestion slipped under that radar! Go for it! --Firestorm 21:03, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
- I like! Easier to find and click the links to each achievements page --Firestorm 21:25, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
- Just a quick note, could you please make it so the offense class achievement packs are placed in the top row, and the defense classes are placed in the middle row and the support classes displayed in the bottom row? I just find it would help with confusion, but either ways I guess it still works. Guy 11:00, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

High Resolution Icons
So I'd noticed that all of the class achievements have 512x512 versions of their normal 64x64 icons. I know for a fact that the GCF does not actually have such high resolution icons, so I figured that this could be applied to the original achievements. I redid a couple of them and uploaded them, but the first was reverted because it was "fanmade". Can this rule be clarified? -Nerdboy 01:23, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
- On some updates, valve released the achievement icons in 512x512 variants. For example in the Scream Fortress page, under "Ghostchievements" there is a link, "Download the icon set". The original achievements never had a n icon-set released, and thus we can only use the ones extracted from the GCF. I hope this answers your question. -RJ 13:29, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for clearing that up. I also went ahead and uploaded the higher quality Ghostchievements. -Nerdboy 21:33, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
Redirect Achievement names to class achievement pages
Should the specific achievement names redirect to their respective class achievement pages? e.g. Caught Napping will redirect to Scout achievements, Factory Worker will redirect to Heavy achievements, etc. Just a thought. - LingoSalad (talk) 22:43, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Achievement references
I think it will be a good idea to explain and provide links for references involving the meaning of the achievements. Many player may not get all the communist references in the Heavy achievements or the James Bond stuff with respect to the Spy achievements. UmbertoEco 10:32, 15 December 2010 (UTC).
- You mean this and this? —Moussekateer·talk 10:38, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
Well Spun Hat
Because of it's relevance to TF2, should we make a page for it? Or maybe even just some sort of snapshot? I know right now we don't have enough information, but I'm just thinking ahead. Smashbrother101 02:03, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- No. Maybe a mention, but not a page. -- OluapPlayer (t) 02:03, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Achievement related bugs
Can we possible add a page for helping obtain achievements/bugs for all achievements (Of course for those that, despite the description of it, can be obtain in seemingly another method is what I'm talking about). For example, an achievement that says "kill 3 people" would not go on this list (unless it occured without killing 3 people or it didnt give it when achieved). I just received the soldiers Geneva Contravention while on the losing team. This would be an example that goes on that page. I know the soldiers achievement page already list a few bugs, but I feel that all achievements should be listed together for those that are granted in seemingly impossible ways. BASEBALLFURIES 17:02, 8 September 2011 (PDT)
- That seems kind of pointless - what use is a page that lists those? Any confirmed bugs are already on the achievement pages for their respective classes. » Cooper Kid (blether·contreebs) 17:11, 8 September 2011 (PDT)
Achievement Video guides
Just an Idea I had for a series of guides for Various (or all) Achievements, I understand that we have written guides, But I think it would help allot of people to actually see what you have to do, but its just an Idea, so tell me what you think! :) Ihasnotomato
"Steam Users Forum Achievements" Link
Can we link a reference to the cryptic email Achievement to the original post? I've tried googling, but I can't find it myself. If (for some reason) it got taken down, then a screenshot if someone has it? Just wondering. Thanks. T3hmyth 19:27, 22 May 2012 (PDT)
Disguised Spies
If a disguised spy gains an achievement, can the chat announcement, trophy and applause be heard/seen by the enemy team,or just the Spy's team?--Riancoady 11:59, 18 June 2012 (PDT)
- Just spy's team. Hinaomi 16:46, 18 June 2012 (PDT)
Pyromania achievements
Pyromania added Mass Hysteria, A Fresh Pair of Eyes, BFF², and The Great Deflate, none of which are Astro-chievements. I wasn't going to add them right now, since the icons for them aren't working yet, but when they are added should they be put with the rest of the general achievements in the main achievements article or should a separate article be created? Only curious since you have to be in Pyroland for BFF² and possibly The Great Deflate.
Speaking of which, does anyone know whether it counts Balloonicorn kills if you're not in Pyroland and can't see the Balloonicorn? Would like to test this. Extreme creme 17:08, 28 June 2012 (PDT)
- I can identify two of these achievements:
- Mass Hysteria: Have 6 teammates using Pyrovision at the same time.
- A Fresh Pair Of Eyes: Dominate a player using the Pyrovision Goggles and earn your own pair!

Adding bugs to the list
There are three "massive" (as I title them) one million point achievements in the game. And especially two of them, "Tartan Spartan" and "Pyromancer" which both require 1 million blast and fire damage, respectively, seem bit bugged. At least their counters seem to be stuck to 0 (I took a glance at the achievement section of three other TF2 playing friends of mine, and all show 0) So I'd say that is eligible as a featured bug?
However the last "massive" achievement "Chief of Staff" (1,000,000 points of healing) works normally. While I haven't earned it, it shows the progress. --TheJ00 (talk) 04:12, 9 June 2014 (PDT)
- Its just syncing issues ingame. Not really notable as even i had some issues with it but its mainly due to sync issues with cloud. Not notable. Ashes (talk) 11:17, 9 June 2014 (PDT)

Alphabetizing
It seemed that the style was to alphabetize such lists. Is it also another style list the new achievements at the top instead of sorting them in? Mikado282 (talk) 18:11, 20 August 2014 (PDT)
- There's an order within the game, so we use that. Darkid (Talk | Contribs) 18:29, 20 August 2014 (PDT)
- Answered my own dumb question. Mikado282 (talk) 04:21, 21 August 2014 (PDT)
Jackpot! bug
Jackpot! achievement counter is not counting even the patch that fixed this issue come out, is this bug? Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 05:55, 11 July 2016 (PDT)
- Yeah most likely a bug if its not counting. I would note it for the time being until a further patch fixes it and someone confirms it ticks. Ashes (talk) 08:00, 11 July 2016 (PDT)
- Does this still exist? ⇒ Anyar (talk/contributions/giveaway) 11:00, 21 March 2017 (PDT)
With Friends Like These...
My friend just got this achievement but he said he only had 5 friends in the server. True enough, the in-game achievement menu says you only need FIVE friends, but the steam site still says you need SEVEN. Andreng (talk) 15:36, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Related achievements clean up
I think I gonna do the clean-up on every pages that has Related achievements. The main focus is to remove any achievements that are not directly involve with the items themselves (such as Kill X Enemies, Push a player to Y) as they can be done by several items. What do you think? Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 12:19, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
Missing Achievement
I was scrolling through all of the achievements, with nothing better to do, and one specific achievement stood out to me for some reason. "Tune Merasmus's Multi-Dimensional Television" isn't listed here, and it should be in the general achievements spot. Can someone add it please? (because i don't know how to) Bj 8 (talk) 01:17, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- It's in PASS Time achievements. - BrazilianNut (talk) 01:33, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
