Saxxy Awards "was"?

Technically even though it's been years since the last Saxxys, the Awards were never officially discontinued and it's just been a hiatus... on paper. Should this be noted? Is it presumption to use the past tense in this article? Why not use "is" whilst noting the hiatus? Just as Tux could theoretically become tradeable one day as Valve promised a decade ago, see the Scout pants fiasco. (p.s. Should an article be made for all the Awards as a concept or is only the seven individual ones okay?)-- Akolyth (talk) 15:03, 28 October 2024 (UTC)

It's not up to us to decide if something is on hiatus or not, that would imply there's a chance it comes back (there is, but there's also a chance they're just retired forever). I'm not sure what would even be changed here.

My proposed text (new stuff in bold): "The Saxxy is awarded to winners of the Annual Saxxy Awards, a filmmaking contest hosted by Valve. Saxxy are bestowed upon all contributors in winning entries created by more than one player. The last event was during the Seventh Annual Saxxy Awards for 2017-18, and it is unclear if there will be more." <Something like this?-- Akolyth (talk) 16:26, 28 October 2024 (UTC)

That just seems like unnecessary speculation to me. I don't think any changes to this wording is necessary, just a link to Saxxy (disambiguation) would be useful.
