Vintage List

For those who want a listing of vintage items. It can be found here: [| Vintage List]

Page Name

Shouldn't this page be labelled "Vintage (Disambiguation)"? Just checkin'.Esquilax 00:11, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

The suffix isn't needed because there is already a tag at the bottom that explains the disambig page. The exception to this is if there is a page that exists with the title already: for example Backpack (disambiguation) keeps its title because there is an article at Backpack. All other disambig pages are either in similar cases as Backpack or just haven't been changed out of laziness. seb26 [talk] 04:09, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Vintage Bills Hat

A few exist, therefore it is a possible vintage. Add? Killicon vita-saw.pngKodiak 7 16:23, 12 October 2011 (PDT)

Also, earbuds. --NobleSkull :D - 16:23, 12 October 2011 (PDT)
Vintage versions of many promo items/achievement items exist. They are however the exception the to the rule, which is why they're not noted here. User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 16:32, 12 October 2011 (PDT)
The exception to what rule? BTW, over 1% of all Bill's are vintage: http://stats.tf/item/126/Bill%27s_Hat Liquidefeline 16:36, 15 March 2013 (PDT)
Years late dude. Anyways. Rule is, If it wasn't "offically" made Vintage. Then its not noted. (Glitched vintages are kept off here for a reason.) The wiki only logs official notes. Ashes 16:40, 15 March 2013 (PDT)

I believe this deserves a note in that section as well BASEBALLFURIES 00:44, 29 January 2012 (PST)

Mann-Conomy Items

Vintage quality came out with the Mann-Conomy Update, but why are the items from that update not now available in Vintage quality, even though some of the items from the later Australian Christmas update are?--Magnum Force-Enforcer 12:26, 16 May 2012 (PDT)

Items released on the Mann-Conomy update were never given Vintage quality - it was just that all previous items were changed to Vintage at that time. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 13:35, 16 May 2012 (PDT)

What I mean is, why haven't they been changed now?--Magnum Force-Enforcer 16:25, 16 May 2012 (PDT)

If they were still releasing Vintage items, they wouldn't be rare, would they? The whole point is that there is a limited number of them. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 10:00, 20 May 2012 (PDT)

Why though did they bypass the Mann-Conomy items and go straight to Australian Christmas?--Magnum Force-Enforcer 15:51, 24 May 2012 (PDT)

Pre-Mann-Conomy items were made Vintage to distinguish them from ones which could have been crafted or purchased after the store opened. The Australian Christmas items which had been crafted using the older, more expensive crafting recipes were made Vintage to distinguish them from ones that were found via random drop or crafted with the new, cheaper recipes. It's not that the post-Mann-Conomy items have been missed out, it's just that nothing's happened to merit any need for distinction between one found two years ago and one found yesterday. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 16:44, 24 May 2012 (PDT)

I see now. Depended when they were crafted, interesting to say the least.--Magnum Force-Enforcer 16:56, 24 May 2012 (PDT)

Vintage Glitch

Vintage Glitch

There is a glitch that seems fairly well known in the TF2 community about glitched vintage Pre-Mannconomy items, should a note be made about this on the page? -C. Yoshi

about the hat note

is the note about the Vintage Tyrolean and Vintage Merryweather really necessary anymore? I mean, there are just as many items with the word Haunted in it now (Haunted Metal Scrap and Haunted Hat), and I would add that to the Haunted page but I feel that it'd count as X of Y trivia. What does everyone else think? --Kincyr (talk) 10:47, 1 December 2013 (PST)

The hat note is there because "Vintage" redirects here. If someone wanted the two other hats which happen to have "Vintage" in there, The hatnote is there for a reason.Ashes (talk) 10:55, 1 December 2013 (PST)

Vintage Big Kill

The Vintage big Kill is not on the list of Vintage items, why? The preceding unsigned comment was added by ‎Patricksbarnard (talk) • (contribs)

The pages only lists the official sources of Vintage items. Items like Vintage Bill's Hat, Earbuds, and Big Kill are glitches, and aren't included, as noted by the last note at the bottom of the list: "Additionally, due to glitches, a small number of additional Vintage items exist outside of these official sources." Hope that helps. --Omolong (talk) 09:35, 13 March 2014 (PDT)

"Vintage" vintage items

It is generally agreed[1] [2] [3] [4] on that "vintage" means something which is between 20 and 99 years old (becoming "antique" if it's 100+). I think an interesting piece of trivia to add is that in 2028, it is possible that the oldest items in Team Fortress 2 that can have the Vintage quality will be truly vintage (this being the items added in 2008).
