List Festive items separately
I believe the Festive weapons should be listed separately from their non-festive counterparts. They are totally independent weapons (reskins) with unique defindex, names, descriptions, models, and attainability. They also have their own backpack icons that we would like to show on the wiki. For all intents and purposes, they're unique weapons. The only reason they don't have their own articles is because I haven't had time to make the articles yet. Thoughts? – fashnek (talk·c) 15:02, 16 December 2011 (PST)
- As it is we're still trying to decide how to have the counter-type listed on this table - we don't want it to get too complicated. I think festive weapons can have their own table. It's basically a quality in its own right anyway; simply by explaining on the Festive page that festive weapons can be Strange ought to be enough. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 15:07, 16 December 2011 (PST)
- This template is a list of the items that can be Strange. "Scattergun," for example, should be there, and "Festive Scattergun" (with its own name/icon/link) should be in it as well. We should not be using one item to describe both. Whether there is a table of possible Festive weapons doesn't affect this template because this template needs to enumerate all Strange possibilities. – fashnek (talk·c) 15:15, 16 December 2011 (PST)
- While I am aware that the festive items are completely separate weapons from their counterparts, treating festive as some hybrid of quality with a fixed-style would probably be the easiest course. If some really want to flesh out a bunch of articles for the separate festive weapons though, I have no problem with it. I think it would be silly, but that is just my opinion. — C2Talon (c/t) 15:25, 16 December 2011 (PST)

Split on slots
Hi, now that most classes have over 10 different stranges, this template was becoming quite wide, causing horizontal scrollbars on non-widescreen displays. So I've just split each class up into the different weapons slots. However, as I was making ready to save, I noticed that while I was working, Rebmcr had alread split the rows down to 8 columns.
Since I think the additional info of slot-specific rows is valuable, I've overwritten his edit with mine, but thought I'd mention it here. --Itsacon 07:25, 23 March 2012 (PDT)
- Yeah, it seems good. Eventually with tons and tons of stranges we'll be glad of the finer grouping. Hopefully we'll get some more Scout melee's soon so the cells aren't so wide. rebmcr 07:30, 23 March 2012 (PDT)

Split to each class?
Should I split this template to 10 templates (Like Hats and Misc)? Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 04:11, 3 November 2013 (PST)
- Still no response, I'll do what I want now. Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 04:37, 14 November 2013 (PST)
No longer update (and will remove in one month)
Since I split them in the past, there's no problem with that action, but I left this template to give the time to update. I'll remove this template in 1 month because it's no longer use in En section. Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 15:25, 10 June 2014 (PDT)
