What happened today with Control Point podcast, Brentcopeland and JohnnyNapalm?
- On 18 September, Control Point podcast was tagged with
{{advertisement}}by Pilk. Though not an official policy statement, articles should remain neutral and not exaggerate or overestimate their subject. - On 20 October, the page was drastically summarized by Zoolooman under the guidance of many in the IRC channel to address the issue.
- Between 22 to 24 October, the article was reverted between these revisions six times by various editors.
- The issue was discussed on KritzKast's talk page.
- During some of the discussion, JohnnyNapalm removed content he personally deemed irrelevant. Whether it was or not is not up to the average user to decide.
- This issue was brought up with him on his talk page. It was met with irreverence and maintained we were "colossal hypocrites". He was subsequently banned.
- On 28 October, content on Control Point podcast was blanked by Brentcopeland citing editorial censorship, copyright issues and claiming the wiki was a "piece of shit".
- Brentcopeland was banned due to a confrontational attitude. Remaining related content was then deleted by Pilk.
