Template talk:Improveimage
Patch parameter
I was thinking, when a cosmetic gets updated most of the images related to item (infobox, paint variants, class gallery) need to be updated to reflect the changes. When this happens I usually end up putting the {{improveimage}}
template on the cosmetic page itself (Dapper Noel for example) instead of tagging all of the individual images. So it might be a little better to have a "patch" parameter for when the template is used in this way. "The images associated with this cosmetic need to be updated to reflect the changes from the xxx patch" or something to that effect. Mediarch ♥ Talk ♥ My Edits 17:54, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- I'm not sure it's necessary, this is what the notes are for. Otherwise, we could make a list of common reasons but taking writing out this reason once isn't a time-consuming task. The only change that could probably be made is replacing "This image file" with "The image files on this article", but that can be done automatically.
