The Frosted Brimstone was a major content update for Team Fortress 2 and was released on December 20th, 202x. The update was themed around Demoman featuring new weapons and new festive variants of existing ones. The update was hinted at in the Engineer Vs. Pyro update when Demoman was given several new achievements and was able to use one of the new weapons.

The update also expanded the feature of turning off unusual effects with turning off cosmetic items, including multiple options for "misc only" and "all".

As part of the event, the Frosted Brimstone Case and Saoire Surprise Case were added. These were unlockable with a key, that was only available as a purchase from the Mann Co. Store for $2.49 / £1.99 / €2.49.

This event also added a new song to the main menu: "Smissmas Bells", which was also added to the Fight Songs album on the same day.

Several updates were made to War Paints to allow for more features such as team colored stickers and orientation locking on certain textures. Many weapons were also updated to allow War Paints on them; Force-a-Nature, Widowmaker, Huntsman, Frontier Justice, Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol, Half-Zatoichi, Bushwacka, Backscatter, Atomizer, Machina, Big Earner, L'Etranger, Diamondback, Homewrecker, Eyelander, Direct Hit, Quickiebomb Launcher, Southern Hospitality, Market Gardener, and Flare Gun.

• Updated War Paint compatibility for; Classic, Cleaner's Carbine. The Original, Shovel, Kukri, Hitman's Heatmaker, Sydney Sleeper, and Fire Axe with community fixes from DudeTheNinja.
• Added a fix for p_paintkit_tool_groups_four created by Renim.
• Added a fix for the Energy Orb War Paint unusual by user Ghostghostghost.

Kill or assist kill 100 enemies using the Drunkard's Wrath

Hackerman
Take 10 heads off of enemies with The Highland Head Hacker.

Smashing Board
Kill 15 enemies by smashing into them with The Brawlers Bulwark.

Eye'ff with Yer Head!
Taunt kill with the Eyelander.

Kenseidrunk
Win a total of 10 duels when you and your enemy are both wielding the Half Zatoichi.

Demoman Milestone 4
Achieve 30 of the achievements in the Demoman pack.

Stalking the Dark
Backstab 10 enemies pushing the wagon in Morrigan Alley as Spy.

Reach Aensland
Win 69 rounds of Morrigan Alley.

Stormed Off
Defend the intelligence 10 times on Stormy Lab.

Capture the final point on Stoneyridge without taking any damage.

Standin Here
Win a round of Standin without losing a capture.

Vanguardian
Win a total of 35 rounds on Vanguard.

Contracts

Several contracts relating to the new weapons and maps were added to the ConTracker.

Localization Files

Support for several new languages were added to the game.

• Re-added support for Arabic.
• Added support for Afrikaans, Esperanto, Frisian, Hebrew, Hindi, Icelandic, Indonesian, Scottish, Slovakian, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.

Trivia

The update was inspired by the Australian Christmas update, the Smissmas 2014 update, and the ill-fated Medieval Update that never came to fruition.
