User talk:Aizekular
Hello, Aizekular!
Welcome to the Official Team Fortress Wiki!
Here are a few links to get you started:
- If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
- If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
- Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
- To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
- You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
- When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
- This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
- Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
- When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
- You can use the button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
- If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
- If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
- You can also customize your user page if you like.
- When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Aizekular to the file's name.
- Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Aizekular/ to the page title when you create the page.
Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress Wiki!

User files
Hi Aizekular,
Please add "User Aizekular" in front of any file you intend to use on your user space, for example "User Aizekular Profile Picture.png". Please also add Category:User images to the image summary. There is no need to upload the image again, I have already changed the file's name.

Wikipedia links
Hello, Aizekular.
It seems you're having some trouble with Wikipedia links. They need to be localized to the same language as the article whenever possible, but they work differently from internal links.
- On internal links, you just have to add
/lang
after the linked article (e.g.tasty Russian snack
). - On Wikipedia links, you have to add
lang:
(this is usually the same language code used in this wiki) afterwikipedia
/w
, but you also have to change the destination article's name to that of the Wikipedia article.
Examples:
Цилиндр
Цилиндр
Цилиндр
If, however, the Wikipedia article in the English page does not exist in the translated page's language, it's ok to leave the destination article as is, provided it is followed by lang icon
/en
to let readers know they will be redirected to a page in English.
Example:
легкий военный внедорожник en
I would recommend you read the translation help page when you have the chance if you haven't already.
Cheers. - BrazilianNut (talk) 23:16, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
Russian teamfortress.com link
Hi there,
Please don't replace official teamfortress.com links with fan-made translations of it. These websites are very prone to going down and are also unofficial. When there are external links that have no translation, please use lang icon
after the link.
However, I have also noticed that User:Atr1x was created 17 minutes after your block and started making edits about correcting the Meet Your Match update name, which you corrected right after. Either this is your alt account (which is ban evasion, which is bannable) or this is someone you've instructed to make these edits on your behalf (which is sockpuppeting, also bannable). As mentioned, both of these are things people get banned for, so be aware in the future if something like this is detected you will stay blocked forever.
