Hey, Sploop, thank you for joining. You seem to be interested in quotes; please, see Help:Style guide/Quotes. The optional <quote description> is used only when needed. Quotes without <quote description> seem to attract new editors, but if the quote doesn't need a <quote description>, adding a <quote description> is no help.
