Weapon fire rate for heavy.

14
Bucket (talkcontribs)

I had plans of updating the fire rate for all weapons to be accurate to the 66 server tickrate we have, for now maybe keep the fire rate at .1 but once I have all the true fire rates down I would swap it back to .105.

Bucket (talkcontribs)

Plus the rest of the miniguns have been updated to .105 so it would make sense to either undo all the miniguns or undo the minigun edit you made.

Bucket (talkcontribs)

I think having the real fire rate is more important than showing the theoretical fire rate until Valve fixes this engine spaghetti.

Bucket (talkcontribs)

Besides all fire rates are values determined by the community, you just contradicted yourself by saying it should be more consistent with the wiki when, it is being consistent with the wiki because you determined the previous value was false.

Bucket (talkcontribs)

Now if they fix the engine then this fire rate can be reverted to .1 per ammo.

Bucket (talkcontribs)

The purpose of the wiki is to give you real info, not theoretical data.

Bucket (talkcontribs)

I will update all the minigun tooltips firerates to state (Should be .1)

WgetJane (talkcontribs)

it's not just attack intervals, it's EVERYTHING

weapon switch times, reload times, etc

like you would have to change every instance of an ubercharge's time from 8 seconds to 8.01 seconds

it's easier to just list the intended values especially since it's only off by a tiny amount

GrampaSwood (talkcontribs)

Yeah, what Jane said. Having these incredibly tiny adjustments and incredibly precise numbers is not necessary and is simply going to look bad. The purpose of a wiki is to give real info, yes, but if the change is something incredibly small like an Ubercharge being 8.01 seconds instead of 8 it's simply not worth changing for both the sake of looking better and being unnecessarily precise.

For some weapons that change is very relavant for DPS though, I did calculations for DPS on the minigun and other weapons with a .1 attack interval, I'll edit weapons where it's not relavant to DPS back to their respective normal values.

Bucket (talkcontribs)

The heavy did 5% less overall DPS, I think for those weapons it should stay at .105, while weapons where it's irrelevant should be left alone, I'll fix my errors.

WgetJane (talkcontribs)

i think it's more appropriate to just put that under trivia

Agreed, I'm just gonna keep it on weapons where it's releveant to DPS (Minigun, SMG, Syringe Gun, etc.)

Hi there,

I saw the video I just don't see the point of it. It just shows off that it does more self-damage if you increase the damage. What's the bug in that? It seems like it works as intended.

I still dont see the bug, can you explain it? It just looks like "Pyro takes less damage from reflected projectiles". Which isnt really a bug, unless you can prove it is

test

GrampaSwood (talkcontribs)

I dont know what "test" is supposed to mean, but if you are having trouble with the talk page system I suggest just refreshing until you see the messages (It is simply a really broken system and everyone wants to get rid of it). But please reply with what the bug is, if you don't I'll have to revert it.
