:* Wouldn't the best be using what the norwegian community has adapted to instead of plain translations? I think it sounds kinda bad. I have yet to hear anyone call the Medic "Sanitet" in any way, so I don't see why we should change the name. Discussion
Use this section to discuss wiki translation efforts. You can add noun lists, discuss wording or delegate certain pages and categories to others.
Note: remember to use the 4 tildes ("

") after your message (this adds the date & time).
- Guys, if your first gonna do something, at least put some effort to it, most of the transalated versions i see are copy pastes of the whole english page, then bio and the text at the top is put into google transalator, you don't even bother fixing links, for example instead of wrtiting Backstab Headshot or Ryggstikk Hodeskudd write Ryggstikk and Hodeskudd
- About the links being to english pages instead of the norwegian ones, I think we should keep the links to english pages if the norwegian translation hasn't been done yet, to make it more user friendly. I'd rather see the english page than a message telling me the article hasn't been translated yet. Just my opinion. A Noobcake 14:19, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
- I say the links go to Norwegian pages, as well as the links on the other pages. If there is no translation you can easily access the English page, and when there is a translation we don't have to go through what is already done to change links, and I also think it might encourage people in a way to translate it. Also it would be nice if someone could fix the weapons page ;P (By the way, why does clicking the pictures at the main page lead you to the english version, whilst clicking the text brings you to the norwegian version? Cryder 10:25, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
- Fixed the pictures, we should also use the same words, so we should discuss what's the best words to use, e.g for crafting. Nitram 17:47, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah i noticed, someone is writing different than me on the taunt kill parts.. instead of "umiddelbart drap" they write something else. Plus I'm seeing alot of "Backstab" and "Headshot" (written like that -_-) instead of Ryggstikk or Hodeskudd..
- Wouldn't the best be using what the norwegian community has adapted to instead of plain translations? I think it sounds kinda bad. I have yet to hear anyone call the Medic "Sanitet" in any way, so I don't see why we should change the name. A Noobcake 14:14, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
- I agree with medic being medic, sanitet to me sounds wrong. Anyway, I started a list in the translation notes where we can put translations/suggestions, I put up a few, some of them are from the translation in-game. Nitram 14:56, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
