:1) I checked the game files, Melee is indeed referred too as Slagwapens.
 +
:2) This is a bit hard to explain, but this is more a problem in the game files itself. TF2B.com has had that problem for a while, as the in-game files would judge that some items required that the was placed in front of an items name. This would sometimes cause for a double the such as The The Eyelander. I suspect that those same game files are causing a double De in the official Mann Co. Catalogue. If you want to read more about this, you can find it here: http://tf2b.com/blog/?p=163

:Anyway, the double De is more of a bug then part of the official name. If you see twice De, just ignore them. Hefaistus 12:18, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Hello everyone!

For more than 1 month, the wikifier script has helped the Russian Team to write articles. It a button that appears on the edit page, that calls a script when clicked. When you click the button, the Wikifier script fixes common mistakes in the article (the button only shows in the wiki editor, and you can preview what it does). For example, it puts the correct russian quotes («...» and “...” inside them), the right spaces after and before punctuation symbols (It will replace “Здравствуй ,  сударь ! ” by “Здравствуй, сударь!”), fix wiki and HTML marking and etc. It is like WindBOT working in your browser. Wind and I want to make this script global. To do this, I need to know what do you, Dutch team, want it to do? Can you tell me some your language-specific punctuation and typographic rules? Common mistakes that editors in your language do? --Daniil 12:56, 17 August 2011 (PDT)

Hey folks, I recently found two pages Heal/nl and Healing/nl which seem to have the same content. Melee Weapons Discussion NL

I'm learnin the Language a atm and read a lot out of the official mann co. wiki in tf2.

Two Questions:

1. I read here that u translate Melee very often with Handwapens = hand weapons ; all weapons are hand weapons for me in TF2. I think the word slagwapen is more accurate/correct because it mean's near fightin only weapon = Nahkampfwaffe

2. Why is it named in the official mann co. cataloge: De De Verstikker = The Wrangler ; don't get the double de? meaning?

Hope u can answer me my questions.

NoWhereMan 02:32, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

1) I checked the game files, Melee is indeed referred too as Slagwapens.
2) This is a bit hard to explain, but this is more a problem in the game files itself.
Anyway, the double De is more of a bug then part of the official name. If you see twice De, just ignore them. Hefaistus 12:18, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Major Overhaul

Since I am now one year on the Wiki, I decided to give this page another giant haulover. To help keep things clean, some rules have been set up. All discussions will go on the talk page here, no longer on the project page. If someone is to post their message on the project page anyway, it will be immediately undone and moved to the talk page.
To keep this talk page clean, all discussions will be archived once half a year (first of Januari and first of June), with the exception of discussions that are still ongoing/recently posted.
Likewise, once half a year, anyone on the "active contributor" list will be removed if they haven't made an edit in that half a year. If removed, you can easily readd yourself by making an edit and then readding your name to the list.
As for the overhaul, I want to thank the following:

 • The Spanish and Russian project pages, as both have given me plenty of inspiration in my work to overhaul this page.
 • The Dutch Steam Translation Server, where I retrieved several links.
 • Macinzon, for reminding of the priority list.

To all translators and editors: good luck! -- Killicon train.png Hefaistus - talk 01:20, 1 October 2011 (PDT)
