交易系統是一個在遊戲裡的系統之一，從主選單中的背包裡點選圖示即可進入。這系統在曼恩企業更新裡首次推出，讓玩家可以互相用此系統來交換武器、頭飾、其他物品和工具，以取得他們想要的物品。

現行 Steam 交易介面

Steam 交易（Steam Trading）是一個在2011年8月9日於公測版中登場的新功能。有接受測試 Steam 交易測試的玩家不僅可以先使用交易功能，還可以將自己的朋友選單分類到自訂的不同群組。[1]測試版的功能在2011年9月6日實裝到 Steam 正式版上。有了 Steam 交易之後，玩家可以用他們在遊戲中得到的物品，去交易其他遊戲中的物品，甚至是以送禮樣式交易的任何 Steam 平台遊戲。交易的要求可以從 Steam 內建的聊天室窗、或是從朋友選單中送出。

示範

特色

  • 在最開頭，Steam 交易只會顯示出八個交易格，但當最後一行的第三格被填滿時，會出現更多的交易格。這可以讓玩家一次有最多 256 格的空間，所以大量交易時幾乎不需要再進行多次的連續交易。
  • 物品也可以用內建的搜尋工具尋找，可讓交易能夠更快地進行。就如同遊戲中的交易一樣，Steam 交易也有聊天欄和顯示物品屬性的功能。
  • 當交易完成後，任何收到的物品會放在遊戲中的背包，和 Steam 的物品欄，可以立即使用。
  • 其他遊戲的物品也可以透過拉下物品欄的選單，點選有提供交易服務的遊戲，亦可以進行交易。
  • 在2013年9月4日更新後，釋出了 "交易提案" 功能。 此功能可以傳送一個完整的交易提案，就像是以前在遊戲裡的交易一樣，只是要交易的物品已經顯示在交易提案中。此功能可以產生一個個人的交易提案連結，讓玩家不再需要成為好友才能交易。

遊戲內的交易

在2012年2月14日更新後，遊戲內的交易系統也開始使用 Steam 交易的介面，玩家可以在遊戲和交易視窗間相互切換觀看。在交易完成之後，如果玩家位在一個伺服器內，交易到的物品會以伺服器訊息公布給其他人知道。

免費帳號的玩家通常是無法參與交易的，不過有幾個例外，比方說經由隨機掉落而獲取的工具（名稱標籤、描述標籤等），和其他任何付費帳號玩家提供給他們的物品，免費帳號玩家都可以拿去交易。

在遊戲的進階選項選單中，有一個選項是過濾交易請求的設定。玩家可以自由設定城「任何人」、「朋友」、「朋友及遊戲中的玩家」、或「都不行」來擋住不想要收到的請求。

交易注意事項

注意：在交易的時候請牢記以下要點。
當交易奇異或異常物品時，請多注意物品的品質，以免被普通貨給欺騙。另外也請注意，免費帳號在交易中是不能給予任何物品的。
  • 請留意對方所給予的物品的屬性。
  • 按下交易按鈕前請再次確認要交易的所有物品。
  • 請檢查你交易得來的物品是否可以拿去合成。
  • 交易應該是在沒有任何壓力下進行，所以當對方極力要求跟你交換一項你不想交易出去的物品時，千萬不要屈服於對方的壓力。
  • 如果你覺得你在交易時花費了太多的東西，請詢問朋友或其他玩家的意見。很多交易伺服器和網站也會提供「交易價目表」給予玩家物品的交易價位做參考（雖然這些價位表很有可能是主觀的推測）。
  • 現在 Steam 交易的物品排列順序和背包中的順序已經一樣了。不過，請在交易之前將滑鼠移到物品上頭，並確認物品的各種資訊，以確保你要交易的物品是正確的那一個。
  • 永遠尊重交易的對象。保持禮貌，客氣和誠實是交易時非常重要的一點。
  • 請小心有改名過的物品，因為詐騙者很可能會以此方法偽裝他的物品（比方說普通的火焰兵無邊帽 → 火焰兵的無邊帽 (異常)），要是一沒注意屬性顏色的話就有可能會被騙了。所以可以多注意左下方的聊天欄，它會顯示出有被改過名的物品，可以幫助玩家不被輕易詐騙。
  • 交易完畢以後請檢察你所得到的物品是不是複製品。檢查的方法是到線上的背包查看網，進到剛才跟你交易的玩家的背包裡頭。請點選你剛剛所交易獲得的物品，如果這個物品有一人以上持有的話，那麼你剛才得到的物品就是用不正當手法製造出來的複製品。



之前的交易介面

之前的交易畫面，圖中是交易過程的範例。
  • 在一次的交易中，兩方玩家只能從背包中拿出 8 個物品來做交易。玩家本身的交易欄會顯示在螢幕的右上方，螢幕的左側是玩家本身的背包，可以從裡面選擇一項要交易的物品，並拖拉到自己的交易欄裡面。至於對方的交易欄則會在右下方。同時，每一格物品會顯示出它的屬性顏色。
  • 兩邊玩家可以在螢幕左下方（背包欄的下方）的聊天欄位，互相交涉交易的細節。聊天欄同時也會顯示出放上物品的原始名稱和屬性，和小心詐騙的通知。
  • 當兩方交涉完成，同意交易之後，兩人都得要在「準備交易」的框格中打勾才能進行。如果這時有哪一方玩家改變要交易的物品，打勾就會消失，而兩方玩家得要再打勾一次才行。當兩方都打勾後，玩家就可以按下「現在交易」的按鈕來完成這次交易，交易到的物品會顯示在自己的螢幕上。
  • 免費帳號的玩家不能在交易中提供任何東西，只有付費帳號的玩家才行。

在交易中會有幾個聲音發出以提示或通知玩家：

不能交易的物品

永久

  • 除了以上清單所列的物品和里程碑武器之外，所有遊戲中獲得的物品都可以交易。如果有金屬是用不可交易的成就武器所鍊成的話，那金屬就會變成不可交易。同樣地，以其他任何無法交易的物品合成創造出來的物品也都會是不能交易的。但是，大部分不能交易的物品都可以使用禮品包裝包起，這樣就可以交易一些平常方法不能交換的物品。
  • 所有從曼恩商店購買的物品過幾天後就可以交易。但除此之外，自製物品、社群物品和 Valve 物品無論多久都不能拿去交易或是合成。

暫時

  • 自從曼恩周年慶更新後，所有在曼恩商店購買的物品（包括武器和工具），會不可交易七天，之後就會變成可以交易。
  • 此外，從預購遊戲得來的正統物品在一開始會是無法交易的，但遊戲發售之後限制就可以解除。
