The current behaviour is that healing 4 HP costs 1 metal. If the Engineer has insufficient metal, healing is reduced to match; if he has no metal at all, there is equally no healing. The Pyro has no metal. Therefore, it is logical that the Pyro cannot heal buildings by reflecting bolts, as he has no metal with which to do so.

The gun seems to have the shotguns damage fall off with a minimum of 18 damage at max range, at point blank it was doing around 55 damage but with most shots being around 35 damage.--[[User:Nintyuk|Nintyuk]] 08:44, 21 December 2012 (PST)

There is no practical difference between "they didn't touch the underlying issue so the result is the same" and "they fixed the underlying issue and the result is the same". It looks like the monitor (it's an oscilloscope, by the way) is supposed to tell the player if they have enough metal to 'rescue' their buildings. The wave is at its highest when the player has 200 metal, and gradually flattens out until they have less than 130 metal (and can't rescue).
 
 
 
It also looks like the bolts the gun shoots can pin ragdolls to walls, like the Huntsman and Crusader's Crossbow. They also don't seem to resupply a sentry's ammo supply. --[[User:Pakaku|Pakaku]] 17:20, 21 December 2012 (PST)

Reflection behaviour in 2024

I had my edit reverted saying that "it's expected that the reflected projectiles behave identically", and I'm here to contest that by saying they do.

The current behaviour is that healing 4 HP costs 1 metal. If the Engineer has insufficient metal, healing is reduced to match; if he has no metal at all, there is equally no healing. Why is "it was a bug before" relevant to whether it is a bug now? There is no practical difference between "they didn't touch the underlying issue so the result is the same" and "they fixed the underlying issue and the result is the same".
