Reflection behaviour in 2024

I had my edit reverted saying that "it's expected that the reflected projectiles behave identically", and I'm here to contest that by saying they do.

The current behaviour is that healing 4 HP costs 1 metal. If the Engineer has insufficient metal, healing is reduced to match; if he has no metal at all, there is equally no healing. The Pyro has no metal. Therefore, it is logical that the Pyro cannot heal buildings by reflecting bolts, as he has no metal with which to do so.

Was this a bug for previous versions of the weapon, where the healing was free? Yes. Is it a bug now? No, it's working the same as when the Engineer has no metal. Toomai Glittershine 22:03, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

It's still a bug because before the change, it wouldn't either, which means (just like any other airblasted projectile) some of the attributes don't carry over. Until they fix that and it still doesn't heal, I would say it should still be put as a bug, especially because they very easily could make it heal without metal for an airblast as an upside.

and if shounic can be believed, pyro actually has 100 metal to work with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9nqtSLOtyU

I personally don't believe this to be relevant as it's just a technical quirk.

Also, in the shounic video you linked they specifically mentioned that other classes aren't able to repair buidlings even when given the wrench which sorta nullifies that whole argument. Mediarch User Mediarch PFP.pngTalkMy Edits 00:53, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
Why is "it was a bug before" relevant to whether it is a bug now? There is no practical difference between "they didn't touch the underlying issue so the result is the same" and "they fixed the underlying issue and the result is the same". If we didn't have the history to look at, would it have been considered a bug in the first place? Toomai Glittershine 02:18, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
