− | == 100% misfire crits? ==
| |
− | | |
− | I was playing in training mode to try out this weapon, and I found that loading too many rockets (which I'll refer to as misfiring) caused damage to all enemies around you. I decided to have some fun and used the developer console to give me virtually unlimited health (hurtme -999999) and noclip. I went on a little killing spree using only the misfires, but noticed something strange; all the misfires (I misfired about 7-8 times) were critical hits. However, I was not using any addconds to give myself these crits, and when I released the three stored rockets, they were all normal rockets. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't reproduce the crits at all.
| |
− | Do you think this is a bug of sorts, or did I overlook something that gave me full crits? There's probably something really obvious and stupid that I'm not thinking about...

− | == Bugs with misfiring ==
| |
− | | |
− | I'm surprised that I haven't seen much information about the Beggar's Bazooka misfiring on the Wiki so far. A few friends and I found that occasionally the misfire will hit other players on the map, and we've (Haydino) compiled a video showcasing what we've found so far. To summarise what's in the video, we believe the misfire works by detonating two rockets near the user after loading the fourth rocket (as demonstrated by two damage indicators) and the spawning of the second rocket is related to hitting distant players. When the misfire hits a distant target, only one damage indicator is displayed and half the damage of a normal misfire is taken. The misfire seems to spawn the second rocket at players (friendly or otherwise) that are "surfing" on props (such as a payload or the elevator on Doomsday), buildings, players or other similar objects. By "surfing", we refer to a player either moving on a prop or standing on a moving prop. However we've only found this to be consistent in controlled environments on a private server, as while the bug still occurs in the same circumstances on public servers, it does so far less often and consistently. Additionally, because the misfire is simply the detonation of two rockets, the damage can be reduced by the Gunboats. Finally, the Beggar's Bazooka can be loaded during humiliation, and while it cannot be fired, the misfire will still occur and deal damage to enemies. This is my first contribution to the Wiki, so I'm not really sure how I can add this to the article or if it's even appropriate, so I'm adding it to the talk page for discussion and approval. − | == holding loaded rockets ==
| |
− | | |
− | Well, this is my first time participating in a wiki, so figures I'd post here before editing the article.
| |
− | | |
− | If you only have 3 rockets remaining, you can load all 3 of them and they'll remain there as long as you keep m1 pressed. You won't be forced to fire them or anything, similar to a bug that was patched that allowed you to keep rockets loaded without having to fire them by holding m2.Rocketscience 21:00, 9 July 2012 (PDT)
| |
− | | |
− | :I doubt this a bug (if that's what you're getting at.) The self damage is caused from the already loaded rocket exploding due to overloading the launcher. If you're not overloading it, Technically it shouldn't explode. - nixshadow (t|c) 21:03, 9 July 2012 (PDT)

− | The bazooka's behavior with 3 remaining rockets does make sense when you explain it like that, but it's still an odd behavior, considering the weapon's design.Rocketscience 21:53, 9 July 2012 (PDT)

− | == Will this weapon have a fixed level? ==

− | I have only a question: Can this weapon have, in the future, a fixed level? Type level 10, level 30 ecc... ? Maybe it will be a stupid question but I just want to know--ColinmarcoDMC 12:58, 29 September 2012 (PDT)

− | == Needs more testing ==
| |
− | It looks like the information for this weapon about loading the rockets and firing them are wrong, because I was getting 20 rockets fired in less than 20 seconds when I tested it loading only a single rocket. I think it might be an issue with how quickly you can start loading another rocket after firing one.

| |
− | : It varies per person. Not everyone will have the exact results. Everyone's timing on loading and firing will always differs. So getting exact results will prove to be more difficult. An average would be better. Ashes (talk) 14:24, 20 September 2013 (PDT)

− | For those of you who constantly undo my edits, stop it this instant. I can guarantee to you wieners that I have the information down right stating how many Hammer units the rockets move at, as well as mph. If you want, try working out the math and see how it turns out to be. Also, considering how the other articles state the amount of Hammer units per second, I was thinking, why not state it for this article? NintendoDrilly (talk) 11:15, 7 August 2014 (PDT)
| |
− | : Rather than saying it in that sort of manner, you could word it in a way that isn't rude. And if someone disagrees with your edit, post it on their talk page. As for the Hammer units measurement, its fine here as every Rocket Launcher has measurement for it. Ashes (talk) 11:40, 7 August 2014 (PDT)

− | :::Some of the words you just said were rude.
