* The Electro Sapper has a significant vertical range in addition to its horizontal range. In many instances, you may be able to sap a building from well below or above it, allowing you to confuse its Engineer.
 
 
 
* The [[Homewrecker]] allows Pyros to remove Electro Sappers from Engineer buildings. This, combined with their [[Flamethrower]]'s [[Spy-checking]] ability, will make your job ''much'' harder.
 
 
 
* When sneaking up on an Engineer using the [[Wrangler]], stab first, then sap. Killing the Engineer will cause his Sentry Gun to become disabled for a few precious seconds, which will be more than enough time to place an Electro Sapper.

間諜擅長欺騙敵人,和偷偷攻擊敵方未注意到的弱點。雖然他生命值不高,而且持有一些攻擊力很弱的武器,但間諜具有能夠背刺敵人和破壞敵方工程師建築的本領。間諜幾乎都是潛入敵後執行任務,為了要達成這點,他可以用隱形偽裝以在沒被發現之下潛入。同時,間諜所具有能看到敵方玩家姓名和生命值的能力,能夠使他判斷哪個較弱的敵人可以用左輪手槍殺掉。由於間諜所造成的威脅,敵方會很常執行間諜檢查來確定附近的安全,火焰兵尤其是當中最危險的敵人,因為她的火焰會很輕易地消除間諜身上的隱形和偽裝。一名好的間諜要能夠熟練隱形和偽裝,讓敵方幾乎查不出他的存在。

當你對瞄準很有信心的話,試試裝備全能大使。它所具有的頭部爆擊傷害搭配你看透敵方生命值的能力,可以讓你把一些殘血的敵人迅速解決掉。要注意的是,這把槍的爆頭傷害會隨著距離而衰減。

局外人左輪

L'Etranger

局外人左輪將部分射擊的火力,轉移到供你逃亡的隱形能量去了!這把槍最好搭配隱身匕首或是死亡送終者,因為這兩種手錶都有些回復能量的限制。可以透過偷射擊敵方,在一段距離外就能補充隱形能量。

脅威使

Enforcer

脅威使比較慢的射速會使得你在與敵人戰鬥時不如原廠左輪手槍,但它在偽裝時可以讓你打出較高的傷害,因此如果你的偽裝被敵人看穿了,可以利用這把槍的第一發高傷害快速解決敵人。
另外,這把武器可以無視任何傷害減免,在對付那些開啟了疫苗接種者UberCharge的醫護兵特別有效。

鑽紋響尾蛇

Diamondback

鑽紋響尾蛇所減少的傷害值,會讓你在直接決鬥時更加沒力。但是,如果你成功背刺了了一大堆的敵人,你就會獲得一大堆的爆擊機會,利用這些爆擊可以讓你成為場上最恐怖的玩家之一。

刀子在正面攻擊時只會產生微弱的傷害,因此除非你能夠背刺到敵人,一般來說在正面對戰時還是換成左輪手槍應戰較好,尤其是你身分曝光要逃離的時候。但是,如果目標已經只剩一點點生命值,那麼就不需換成左輪手槍,正面的刀子攻擊也能夠了結他。

這把刀主動偽裝會失去所有隱形能量的缺點,會使你更依賴隱形能力來找到躲藏點。一旦成功背刺,取得一個偽裝時,你就能夠以此來接近其他敵方的背了。不過,別依賴這刀子所給予的「沉默殺手」效果:背刺身亡的的玩家仍能透過打字或是麥克風來通知隊友有人入侵。如果你因背刺而得到了一個慢速的偽裝時,記得要在隱形狀態移動,才會保有原本的走路速度。

陰謀苦無

Conniver's Kunai

陰謀苦無所造成的低生命值,會使你變得非常、非常脆弱。除非你在苦無的超量治療效果下,要不然隨便一發普通的火箭都可以一擊殺死你。當使用陰謀苦無時,請變得多具侵略性一點,經常找目標背刺以維持自己的超量生命值。如果搭配使用死亡送終者的話,你比較不會因為一發簡單的攻擊而死亡,也較能成功地潛入敵後。

暴利之刃

Big Earner

雖然暴利之刃的生命值減少並沒有像陰謀苦無一樣減少得那麼多,但這仍舊擋不住一發火箭兵的火箭攻擊。當使用暴利之刃時,請變得多具侵略性一點,並背刺敵人以獲得額外的隱形能量,以供之後的撤退。搭配死亡送終者使用的話會很適合,因為暴利之刃的背刺可以多次補充死亡送終者容易消耗的隱形計量,讓你在敵後可以達成較多次的假死,並多次刺殺以為殺死你的敵人們。

寒冽冰錐

Spy-cicle

如果你很常被敵方火焰兵盯上的話,可以裝備這把刀來提高火焰兵殺死你的難易度。
要注意的是被這把刀背刺的人會變成顯眼的冰雕,很容易會使得敵方提高警覺。

偽裝工具

Disguise Kit

偽裝用工具是你其中一個入侵用工具。但偽裝後,記得別出現在敵方的視線中太久,因為你很可能會受到間諜檢查的洗禮。也記住多做點像是正常隊友的動作,比方說在敵方面前換作輪手槍的子彈,這會導致你身上的的偽裝換他手中武器的子彈,進而使敵方認為你不是個間諜。你可以在隱形中切換你的偽裝,這樣就不會被敵方撞見換裝的糗態。不過,一個偽裝需時約一秒才算完整成形,所以別犯了偽裝還沒完成就跑出去給敵人看的錯誤。一旦你成功潛入敵後,就有機會比較簡單地背刺敵人,因為此時敵方可能正被你隊友的炮火給弄得分心了。

隱形手錶 + 外觀改變

綜觀所有手錶,原廠隱形手錶並沒有任何特殊效果,但它能確保你隱形移動時能走得比其他兩款還長。在隱形時持續移動以避免被發現,同時也要注意有無任何彈藥盒或掉落武器可撿,以維持隱形的能量。雖然敵方也許會看到一個彈藥箱憑空消失而得知附近有間諜,但他們在此時是不太可能抓到你的。

隱身匕首

Cloak and Dagger

隱身匕首最適合用在只有少量彈藥盒的地圖。你可以靠它的定點能量維持能力待在一個地方,等待時機對重要目標(比方說醫護兵)下手。在同樣多的時間內,慢慢走或是快速衝到另一個地點所消耗的能量會是相同的。請不要待在某個地方過久,因為敵方很可能待會就執行間諜檢查。同樣地,別把隱身匕首當成是你的免死金牌而不出擊,因為一個活很久的間諜,不代表是一個對隊上有所貢獻的間諜。

死亡送終者

Dead Ringer

為了使你的假死更具可信度,你可以考慮多承受一點傷害後,再開啟死亡送終者。如果你像是摔死或之類的簡單死法的話,敵方一定曉得你假死逃跑了。在死亡送終者隱形期間,雖然你撞到人不會顯現自己的輪廓,你還是會受到流血、或瓶手道的效果而顯現出來。不過在送終者啟動時,使用者戰火中受到的傷害也會減少,幫助你存活和找到安全地點解除隱形。
要注意的是,死亡送終者的隱形能量不能透過彈藥包或補給器來恢復,因此如果你經常需要透過裝死來逃跑的話,建議搭配局外人左輪或暴利之刃來快速恢復隱形能量。

建築物武器

電子破壞器 + 外觀改變

Sapper Ap-Sap Festive Sapper Snack Attack

一裝設電子破壞器,它就能立即癱瘓敵方工程師建築物,而且在工程師使用扳手或是火焰兵用家用破壞者震電之寶之後才有辦法拆除。你有無限次使用破壞器的機會,也能夠一次連續地裝設它。一般來說,毀掉一個工程師陣地的方法,應該是先背刺工程師,然後在步哨防禦槍轉向時快速地將電子破壞器裝上去。當電子破壞器一裝上去,用你的武器對建物攻擊的傷害值是會減弱的。

倒轉錄音機

Red-Tape Recorder

倒轉錄音機能倒轉工程師建築物的升級程序。雖然和預設電子破壞器相較之下,需花費更長的時間才能摧毀建築物;但讓只需要一點時間便能讓建築物下降回等級一的狀態。假如你無法清除一處守備完善的工程師據點時,試著用倒轉錄音機來削弱這處據點,好幫助隊友更輕易的清除該處據點。
