The Steel Gauntlet is similar to the Heavyweight Champ in the fact that it is a pure melee variant; however, the Steel Gauntlet can take an incredible amount of damage from ranged weapons due to its [[Fists of Steel]] and increased HP, having an effective HP of 1260.  If they are carrying the bomb, try to take them down as soon as it's safe to do so. If they're left unnoticed until they upgrade to level 2 and gain the ability to regenerate health, they may become a real threat to the team. At that point, they will have both the Fists of Steel's resistance, the bomb carrier's level 1 resistance upgrade, and the bomb carrier's level 2 regeneration upgrade, creating a monster that has an effective HP of 1575 and regenerates health. If a team accidentally leaves them to upgrade, focus fire on them to bring them down as soon as possible.

This Heavy has an extremely large health pool, combined with regeneration and innate ranged damage resistance from the Fists of Steel makes this behemoth the toughest robot in the entire game. Since melee resistance upgrade doesn't exist, there's no way to reduce its punching damage through upgrade stations. With the punching power of 325 HP per hit, it's capable of killing any non-overhealed class in a single, deadly blow. It's the final boss of the mission "[[Bone Shaker (mission)|Bone Shaker]]" (Operation Mecha Engine, Bigrock). As long as the constant flow of [[Sniper Robot|Sniper]]s and [[Spy Robot|Spies]] are dealt with, make sure to output as much damage as possible as its large health pool combined with the Fists of Steel's resistance makes it even tougher than the toughest tank. It's also slightly faster than a Tank. Due to this Heavy's insane amount of health, health regen and bone-crunching punches, melee fighting this bot is not recommended. A [[Demoknight]] with max damage plus Crits and Uber might be a viable option, since a fully upgraded critical swing from any of the Demo's swords that have a damage upgrade will deal 780 damage, assuming one has a [[shield]] equipped. A Spy is also a great option because [[backstab]]s deal double damage to this robot and the [[Dead Ringer]] will let a Spy survive at least one hit.

常规的机枪手机器人,被格雷曼恩制造。这类机器人与机枪手类似,体型大,耐打,力气大。常规的机枪手机器人配备一把转轮机枪,可以把任何胆敢靠近的人撕成碎片。机枪手机器人经常在小规模到中等规模的波次出现,与其它机器人一起提供支援。它们追踪敌人时似乎有延迟,这意味着它们很难击中在近距离躲避的玩家。在远距离攻击它们,此时转轮机枪在的伤害会因为准确度降低而下降。

反弹机枪手的功能和常规的机枪手机器人类似,但可以击落飞行中的射弹。与常规机枪手机器人的区别在于它们戴着叮当响的铁军帽,并且有绿色的曳光弹开火特效,而不是一般开火时的黄橙色弹道。这类机器人在游戏的样板文件中找不到,并且只在Mannworks的专家任务Mannslaughter的多个波次出现。

重量级拳击冠军是机枪手机器人的近战变种,穿戴着拳击手头套。尽管受限于近战距离,这些机器人通常数量庞大。重量级拳击冠军有两种变体。第一种配备杀戮拳击手套。这种变体的机器人如果不携带炸弹就会寻找并攻击附近的玩家,杀死玩家时会为杀戮拳击手套激活暴击加成。第二种变体配备紧急逃跑手套,在丛林炼狱更新补丁前,它们的移速会得到加成,还会带有死亡标记的效果。

钢拳护卫和重量级拳击冠军类似,是纯粹的近战变种;不过拥有钢铁手套的加成和增加的生命值,钢拳护卫可承受最多1260点的远程武器伤害。如果它们正在携带炸弹,最安全的做法是尽早把它们解决掉。如果它们升级到二级并获得恢复生命值的能力,就可能对团队构成真正的威胁。此时,它们将拥有钢铁手套的抗性,炸弹携带者的一级抗性升级和二级生命恢复升级,变为一个拥有1575点有效生命值且不断恢复生命值的怪物。如果让它们成功升级,集火攻击并尽早解决它们。

击退钢拳护卫是造成更多伤害的钢拳护卫。它们在成功攻击玩家时会将其击退。正因如此,用近战武器攻击它变得难得多。除此之外,它与钢拳护卫是相同的。在近战时要格外小心,建议在它们聚集时不要靠近。

稀有的欢乐机枪手是另一种近战变体,它们有更快的速度,并穿戴着拥有永久暴击加成的欢乐拳套。它们以小组形式出现,不能造成任何伤害,不过它们的攻击会强迫玩家留在原地,使其更容易地成为其它机器人的目标。建议在进入它们的近战范围前躲远点。80%的伤害衰减使得它们无法杀死最大生命值没有被削减的玩家,由于它们的杀敌嘲讽只造成100伤害,所以它们也不能用杀敌嘲讽杀死满生命值的玩家。它们只有正常机枪手机器人的20%血量,因此很容易被摧毁。它们只在Data Demolition的特定波次出现。

巨型机枪手是常规机枪手机器人的巨大版本。它配备了超频的转轮机枪,可造成50%的额外伤害。巨型机枪手和常规的机枪手机器人的行为大体相同,偶尔有医疗兵机器人陪同。

这些机器人和反弹机枪手机器人有着相同的能击落飞行物的属性,还有着击杀时回复5000生命值的能力。这使得它们非常致命,不过幸运的是巨型吸血机枪手的此变体会在屏幕上显示血量条,尽管它实际上不是一个关卡头目(它只有5500点生命值)。建议躲在医生的护盾后集中火力攻击这类机器人。如果你受了重伤,迅速逃离来避免机器人回复生命值。

配备更小的枪械不意味着伤害更小。事实上,这是最快的巨型机枪手。和霰弹枪机枪手类似,它配备霰弹枪,且具有和霰弹枪机枪手相同的优势与不足。不过,它每次开火会射出更多弹丸;被这种机器人一枪打死并不罕见。这种机器人在近距离可以造成448点伤害。在这种机器人附近时要格外小心。强烈建议在中等距离下与它战斗。尽管它被赋予击落飞行物的属性,但此属性没有被编程为与霰弹枪一同使用。

(注意:这类机器人在游戏中的名字为巨型吸血机枪手)在它不杀死任何人的前提下,这个巨大的机器人可以承受60000点伤害,杀死敌人会回复8000生命值。它只在Empire Escalation的最后波次中出现。在它部署42秒后,顶层会出现一群Concheror Soldiers和4个超级自然之力侦察兵。如果它持续地击杀玩家,它甚至可以自己走到所有控制门前并占领他们。受重伤的玩家应该试图避开它。远离危险范围,或者在紧急情况下使用uber水壶。最糟糕的情况下,和被击杀使机器人恢复生命值比起来,自杀有时候是更好的选择。医生的护盾可以保护受伤的玩家,也能给他们争取到回复生命值的时间。不过玩家也不能将全部注意力放在机枪手机器人上,当它吸引玩家注意力时,超级自然之力侦察兵就有了溜走并投放炸弹的机会。

这种机枪手机器人有着非常高的生命值,再加上恢复生命值的能力与钢铁手套给予的远程伤害抗性,使这个庞然大物成为了整个游戏中最难击败的机器人。由于近战伤害抗性升级并不存在,所以无法通过购买升级减少他的拳击伤害。凭借一次攻击325点的伤害,它一击可以就杀死任何没有超量治疗的兵种。它是任务Bone Shaker的最终头目。只要解决了不断涌来的狙击手间谍,就一定尽可能多地对它输出伤害,因为它巨量的生命值和钢铁拳套的伤害抗性令它比坦克还难以击败。他的速度也略微高于坦克。由于上述原因,并不推荐近战攻击这种机器人。拥有最大伤害、暴击加成和uber加成的爆破骑士是一个可行的选择,因为爆破骑士在装备了盾牌的前提下,任意一把拥有伤害升级的剑在暴击加成下都会造成780点伤害。间谍也是一个不错的选择,因为背刺会对这种机器人造成双倍伤害,而死亡之铃会使间谍至少承受一次攻击。

漏洞

  • 霰弹枪机枪手(Shotgun Heavy)的非Gatebot版本被命名为Heavy Shotgun。

未使用的内容

  • 装备着杀戮拳击手套的重量级拳击冠军有另一个未使用的标志,从曼恩 vs. 机器模式发布以来就存在于游戏文件中。
  • 装备着紧急逃跑手套的重量级拳击冠军最初有一个和装备着杀戮拳击手套的重量级拳击冠军相似的、红队样式的拳套图标,但后来改成了蓝队样式。
  • 钢拳护卫应用了一个名为DefensiveBuffHigh的已失效禁用属性,根据地图Example中的pop文件,它会使受影响的机器人受到的伤害减少90%,周围还会产生粒子特效。按照开发者的评述,这个属性会取代钢拳护卫的高生命值。
  • 欢乐机枪手禁用的代码表明,这类机器人的大小原本应该缩小35%,并且装备速成法师帽雪白的大胡子;使它的外观酷似花园侏儒;事实上,欢乐机枪手在代码中的名字是T_TFBot_Heavyweapons_Gnome(机枪手_侏儒)。

  • 击退钢拳护卫有一个未使用的反弹机枪手图标,这表明原本会有每次攻击都会击退玩家的机枪手机器人。
  • 模板文件中有一个未使用的非gatebot版本的巨型吸血机枪手。
  • 巨型机器人在生成时原本会发出独特的提示声(在游戏文件中命名为giant_heavy_entrance.wav)。
  • 和其他巨型机器人相似(除巨型医生外),巨型机枪手机器人有未使用的独特的脚步声。
  • 巨型机枪手机器人有独特的转轮机枪动画。由于巨型机器人不能进行嘲讽,这一动画从未被看到过。
