The Red Sons was a two-class patch and the *** major content pack released for Team Fortress 2. It introduced features such as the ability to toggle player items and adjustments to the Unusual effects drop pool including allowing older Crates to be unboxed with newer effects.

The Update features a BLU team Soldier and a RED team Heavy facing off against each other in the promotional art, as the rest of the members of both teams have ended up taking different sides between the two (a RED Demoman taking Soldier's side being a reference to the WAR! update).

The Update was first announced on Jan 2, 202x, and was released in the March 1st, 202x patch.

The Red Sons Update page officially began on February 23rd, 202x, as announced on the Official Blog post. The update was released on March 1st.
