Promotional items i Team Fortress 2 är exklusiva föremål som tilldelas spelare som har förbokat eller köpt ett spel via Valve's marknadspartners, det vill säga med andra samarbetande videospelsbolag. Sättet att få kampanjsföremål varierar. Normalt sett så är dessa skänkta till spelare som har förbokat eller köpt ett specifikt spel. I andra fall, skänks dom till spelare som exempelvis har, loggat in från ett annat operativsystem som OSX och fått Hörlurar.
Promotion föremål släpptes före Februari 3, 2011 Patch, med undantag från de som fåtts via spelet, är numera iinte längre tillgängliga och kan endast erhållas via trading eller gifting. Emellertid, från den dagen då Genuine Quality introducerades, kan alla promotionföremål (med undantag från Hero's Hachimaki) bli erhållna på ett eller flera sätt — antingen genom att köp, finna eller tillverka. Promotionföremål som har blivit erhållna från något av dessa sätt har ej genuin kvalitet.
