Brass Beast is an unlockable primary weapon for the Heavy as part of the Hibernating Bear set. It is based off a historic mid-1800's gatling gun, with brass plating and modifications that allow it to be carried and fired with ease.
The penalties of the Brass Beast are similar to that of the Heavy prior to the April 28, 2010 Patch, having both slower wind-up/down time and slower movement speed while the gun is deployed. However, the penalties of the Brass Beast are in fact greater than the values of Pre-Patch Heavy; so much so that the Heavy's movement is slowed to a near-standstill while the gun is in motion.

Trivia
The Brass Beast is similar in appearance to the original Gatling Gun. It also appears to have an attached Broadwell Drum, though mounted on the side and fed into the main gun via ammunition chain. (The original Broadwell Drum was mounted above the gun, and was essentially 'gravity-operated'.)
