— The Engineer on voodoo-cursed items

The Pile of Curses was a craftable item introduced in the October 26, 2012 Patch. It was crafted by combining 7 Voodoo-Cursed Items.
When opened, it displayed a 5 second countdown and played sounds effects, similarly to a Mann Co. Supply Crate. It then awarded the player one of the 9 playable class' Voodoo-Cursed Souls, sometimes with an Eerie Crate or a Halloween Spell. Any souls received had a chance of bearing the Haunted quality.
The item was removed following its expiration date of November 12, 2014.
