The Noise Maker is a tool that was introduced during the Scream Fortress update. When equipped in an action slot and used, a noise is played to all the other players on a server. Each Noise Maker (except for the Stabby Noise Maker) has 3 unique sounds that will randomly play when used. The Halloween noise makers could only be purchased from the Mann Co. Store during the Scream Fortress event. There are nine Noise Makers, including one which was unused. Each Noise Maker can be used 25 times before it is removed from the Backpack.

Bugs
- If you change your currently equipped Noise Maker outside of a spawn area, you can use the action key to make the noise of the currently equipped one without taking up uses of either one you had/have equipped.
Update history
- Fixed Noise Makers no longer working.
- Fixed seeing a badge on the player when a noisemaker is equipped.
- Added the Koto noise maker
Trivia
- The "Stabby" Noise Maker sound is a reference to the famous "Shower Scene" from the 1960 psychological thriller Template:W.
- The Template:W is a traditional Japanese musical instrument, and is also the national instrument of Japan.
