— The Heavy on quality chocolates
|
” |
The Dalokohs Bar (pronounced ʻDah-lock-ussʻ) is a community-made secondary weapon for the Heavy. It is a large partially opened segmented chocolate bar, with the Team Fortress logo imprinted on each chunk. The wrapper proclaims "Dalokohs, it's delicious!"
When consumed, the bar will heal 60 Health, +20% of the Heavy's maximum health. In addition, his maximum health is increased temporarily by 50 for the next 30 seconds, like a semi-permanent overheal. However, this bonus will not stack with healing from a Medi Gun or Dispenser. The health increase does not remain if the Heavy changes his secondary weapon. Like other Lunch Box items, the Heavy will be immobile when consuming the bar; however it cannot extinguish fire, nor can it be eaten underwater. Also, unlike the Sandvich and the Buffalo Steak Sandvich, it cannot be dropped to heal teammates.

Note: The second blueprint simply makes a Heavy's secondary weapon; there is still a chance of getting the Sandvich or Buffalo Steak Sandvich instead. There will be approximately a 33.33% chance of crafting this item using the second blueprint.
Update history
- The item was added to the game.
- [Undocumented] The crafting blueprint for the item was added to the game.
- A cooldown bar now dictates when the item can be consumed.
- [Undocumented] The eating cooldown timer was removed.
- The crafting blueprint for the item was changed from Bonk! Atomic Punch + Sandvich to one Scrap Metal + Sandvich.
Bugs
- The lines that can be said after consuming a Dalokohs Bar are identical to those after consuming a Sandvich. Also, the particles of food emitting from the Heavy's mouth are the same particle effects.
- Dispensers will still heal a Heavy up to 300 HP, instead of the maximum of 350 HP.
Trivia
- "Dalokohs" is the Russian word for chocolate, "shokolad", spelled backwards.
- This model was originally made for a community skin that made the Heavy resemble Coach, a survivor from Left 4 Dead 2.
- The original skin had no team coloring and a normal map. For the RED texture, the hue of the item was changed to save time and effort.
- The Dalokohs Bar was accidentally added to the drop system a day earlier as "Unknown Item 159." At that time, the item could be acquired through the random drop system, but not found in the backpack without the help of an external item manager. Approximately 1200 players found the item, but it did not drop into the backpack until the item was permanently and officially implemented on March 18, 2010. When moved into the backpack before this date, the item took the placeholder icon of the Bottle.
