Hey, get to da bridge!
The Scout directing traffic for his team

The Crossing Guard is a community-created melee weapon equippable by all classes with the exception of the Engineer and the Spy. It is a slightly weathered railroad crossing sign with glowing team-colored lights. It appears to have been uprooted violently from its base, as a pair of wires are seen sticking out of the bottom end.

This weapon functions identically to the wielder's default melee weapon.

Update history

December 8, 2014 Patch (End of the Line Update)

  • Added multi-class melee weapon - The Crossing Guard.

Trivia

  • A crossing guard is a person that manages traffic, usually to aid pedestrians in crossing an intersection.
    • Prior to electronic railroad crossing installments, a Crossing Guard was also a term given to a person who would work in an office by a crossing. When a train was to approach, he would change the crossing gates (either by hand or by a lever/switch) so as to block traffic. This was most commonly in use in the United Kingdom, and still sees some use to date.
