Action items are usable game items. Introduced in the Mann-Conomy Update, action items are similar to Tools in that some of them have a limited number of uses (indicated by a number on their icon in the backpack); the difference being that action items can be equipped on players using their own slot (previously named "MISC2"). Action items can only be obtained via purchase from the Mann Co. Store, the exceptions being the Dueling Mini-Game, Pallet of Crates, Power Up Canteen, Battery Canteens, Spellbook Magazine, Fancy Spellbook and Fireproof Secret Diary. Currently, action items cannot be used with or obtained through the Crafting system, an exception being the Power Up Canteen which can be crafted.

Pressing the action key (H is the default) will allow you to use whatever action item is currently equipped in your action slot. Be aware that some items will bring up a menu when activated, therefore use these items in a safe spot. The Dueling Mini-Game, for example, will prompt you to pick the opponent you wish to duel, and the gifts will prompt you to confirm you wish to use it. However, the Noise Makers are activated instantly.

What's in the Portal 2 Soundtrack Box?		Contains an Ap-Sap in Genuine quality when the box is opened.	Given through a redeemable code inside the CD case of the Portal 2 Soundtrack.	1
Gift-Stuffed Stocking		Contains a Giftapult, Backpack Expander, Name Tag, Description Tag, Tour of Duty Ticket (Before the Tough Break Update), Paint Can (After the Tough Break Update) and 2-3 random drops. All except the random drops are untradeable.	Given to players during the Smissmas 2013 and Smissmas 2014 updates.	1

Halloween Gift Cauldron		Contains three random Scream Fortress 2014 items. One will be in both Strange and Haunted quality.	Obtained by playing Team Fortress 2 during the Scream Fortress 2014 event or completing the "the Carnival of Carnage- Bumper to Bumper to Bumper" achievement.	1
